Save your money. Go somewhere else. They are very expensive and are not the best at explaining charges. I got slapped with a total of $425 for vaccination of my 2 cats. They had included an annual checkup charge which I never asked. I simply wanted to get them vaccinated. Moreover, one of my cats had been to them like a few month ago so I don’t understand why I got charged for his annual checkup? He literally got checked a few month ago. Absolute rip off.

I highly DO NOT recommend this place! If I could put zero stars I would! They have no empathy or understanding for the pets they “treat” or the owners that bring them in. If you are considering in giving them your trust to take care of your loved pets, I would advise you to go somewhere else.

I am absolutely disappointed with this animal hospital. They have no compassion or care for the animals or their owners. When you do try to address your concerns, they completely ignore them and take no accountability for their negligent actions. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!Since they have decided to delete my sisters review, I have decided to share our experience.Hospital is not deserving of the one star, Animal care and compassion is definitely not what this hospital provides. If you love your pets and don’t wish to see them suffer then stay away. Had my kitten’s spay surgery in this location, Tech sent us home with a dogs cone that would not remain on a small 6 month kitten. Hospital was aware of our concern no effort was made to check of collar fit/size instead proceeds to bill us out for a shirt that Tech himself acknowledge kitten cannot keep on. Kitten has gotten an infection that the clinic deferred seeing her for and proper care was not provided throughout her additional two visits. Records of visits were not provided to parents. Heads up if you try to speak to someone in charge the manager will ignore all of your concerns and will NOT acknowledge all negligence that occurred in clinic. Highly do not recommend this place unless you want to spend double of what a routine procedure costs and see ur loved ones in pain.As a response to the company’s response to my sister’s review (which they have now deleted my sisters review), Google review is to review your experience with a business. We have all rights to let other parents to know our experience with staff and manger. Manager had 4 days to resolve issue internally/communicate with customer however, manager has no professionalism and chose to ignore concern. Assuming your statement is correct 1. Clinic has not followed up on kittens health after surgery. 2. No effort was made to place collar on/ find alternative to cover incision, now that is proof that kitten is a risk of atleast 97% that she will develop an infection. Clinic decided to wait until infection occurs then prolonged time until she is seen. 3. When we voiced infection is worsening and kitten seems to be in pain no vitals were taken in her visit and TECH not VET saw kitten for cleaning the wound and we have voiced that infection and pain is worsen. Now where is the proof of kittens health? Antibiotic resistance exists, different bacteria species exists and so on. So injecting an antibiotic/anti-inflammatory does not mean that issue has resolved and it was apparent that it was ongoing. Now when an office is closed usually there is an emergency contact/ alternative vet to visit that was not once provided and in both weekends health of kitten deteriorated. As for your claim that kitten did not tolerate collar and that was the reason for infection that is completely untrue, once correct collar was placed kitten has tolerated it. the initial collar DID NOT stay on her head due to large size and this is further proved that collar was switched out after infection (if 12.5cm was the same size why would we be provided with a less “efficient” collar after infection). Unfortunately this could have been resolved if manager dealt with situation more professionally however he has chosen to not issue any apology/ discuss kittens chart further he will try to shut you out by telling u he hopes ur pet feels well. After almost 3 weeks of surgery kitten still suffering from infection that requires more monitoring and potential second surgery so yes I would say save ur loved ones health if this can be avoided.

Brought my dog in yesterday for both an annual checkup and to have his cyst/wound looked at. This was our 1st time meeting Dr. Thompson - he was just fantastic. He was thorough, and so informative/helpful, taking time to answer all my questions, treating the wound and providing me clear instructions on how to continue caring for the wound at home to speed up the healing. He never made me feel rushed or hurried, which I very much appreciate. I left feeling assured that my dog is in great hands. The front desk staff and everyone I interacted with were all cheerful, welcoming and friendly as could be! I'm so glad we found this clinic.

I woke up this morning to my typically healthy cat acting very strangely. She was unable to walk properly and could not make it to the litter box to relieve herself. It was obvious there was something very very wrong with her and when I brought her into the clinic and communicated the severity of the situation. The staff didn't seem to think it was a big enough deal and let us know that if we were to keep her there they would simply put her in a cage until 1pm because they had other appointments. I told them she was dying and they even take a look at the cage to make their own opinion. I am a grown man who does not cry often but it was difficult to contain my tears which goes to show how serious this situation was.Despite this being an obvious emergency issue they were EXTREMELY callous about the whole situation and had ZERO sense of urgency. They told us to go home and come back at 1pm otherwise they would just keep her in a cage until then if we left her there anyway.Well as soon as we got home which was a 5 minute drive to our house, our cat began seizing violently, had a heart attack and died. It was one of the most horrifying and heartbreaking things I’ve ever had to witness. When we called back to inform them of the situation, they replied that they were sorry for the miscommunication" .What miscommunication? Our 9 year old cat is dead and this hospital and the manner they handled the situation is to blame.Had they taken the situation seriously and given her the care she needed this would not have happened. They could have helped her leave with dignity and comfort. The fact that they are unable to assess and prioritize an emergency situation is sickening considering the fact that it's an animal HOSPITAL. If you care about your animals and are in an emergency situation this is NOT the place to go. I beg of you.I would give them negative 10000 stars if I could."

Pleasant environment with equally pleasant staff. Communication has been great from the moment we signed up our little old rescue pup, Avocado, here a few years ago. Love the new online portal to book appointments and even see past history of appointment notes!

Didn’t even look at my friends car, she was dying. They told her she’s dying please give her something so she’s comfortable. Didn’t even glance at the cat and said come back later. There was no later, the cat died. No compassion, rude service.

I knew within the first few minutes of my appointment at Hollybank Animal Hospital that I was in the right place. The team is empathetic, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Dr Rosely is exceptionally caring and took her time with me and offered various solutions for my pet’s problem. I have often felt with other vet clinics that I am being “sold” on prescription diets and additional tests and when I resist, I have been met with criticism and judgement. I did NOT feel this here! Dr Rosely worked with me to find a comfortable solution to my pet's concern. She treats the animal as a unique individual, and I believe she has the pet and the human’s best interest at heart. Thank you for taking such good care of us. I highly recommend this clinic.

I took our new pup, Chewy, to this vet few days ago to introduce him and do the initial health check. The staff were very kind and friendly. The doctor was very thorough in her examination and spent way more than enough time to explain the pup on-boarding process. While I've read about how scary the first visit to the vet could be, Chewy was very comfortable and spent his time playing around. He even left his mark at the examination room floor :) One of the nice welcoming gestures I've noticed was the writing on the white board when we arrived. Thank you and I highly recommend this vet.

This vet is amazing!A while ago my dog had a limp and my usual family vet told us nothing was wrong. We did an X-ray and it came back clean so that vet said we shouldn’t worry about anything. A few months go by and my dog is still limping. Went to the same family vet and only prescribed us pain medication.I knew something was wrong with my dog and didn't want to give up on him so I booked an appointment for a second opinion at Hollybank. Not only were they extremely friendly, but they were the reason we were able to save my dogs life. The vet said he couldn’t give us an exact diagnosis, so he pointed us to orthopaedic specialists that could give us the answers. We were immediately referenced and brought my dog to the specialists. He ended up having an invasive tumour in his leg which required amputation. My dog is now 3 months post operation and is thriving! I am forever grateful this vet pointed my family and I in the right direction. I highly recommend this vet.
