Chow Lucky Noodle Bar

I am staying in the hotel and went there tonight for the first time and there was a paper receipt stir fried into my food. Thought it was egg and it was paper, could see the numbers and everything on the receipt when I spat it out. Gross.

Food is a little too salty, compared to most Chinese food establishments.But what I don't like most is the table system. It is self-serve so potentially somebody who orders food after you can grab a table/seat before you.

My wife and I ate at Chow Lucky Noodle Bar recently and we were very disappointed with our meals. I ordered a Wonton Soup. The soup base tasted like water and the wontons were pork wontons.My wife said her menu item tasted very bland too. I don't recommend this restaurant. The food is overpriced with no flavour. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Located inside the Grand Villa Casino this small kiosk type eatery is usually lined up upon opening at 11am on a weekday (can only imagine on weekends). We always order the pai thai (comes with shrip & chicken) and beef chow fun. The chinese dishes are always super authentic tasting (good wok taste) and the pai thai is not super authentic but does the job. The prices are ok for the portions you receive but honestly there isn't many easy take out asian choices in this area so I see many people who work around the hood get take out here. Great self-serve condiments (they provide plastic take out mini containers for sauces) for take out order. Sometimes you can wait up to 15 minutes for your take-out order (just sit at a table with you order # metal stand). Most times they give you fortune cookies with your take out order but not always so if you want them just ask. Cashier service is a hit/miss .. sometimes friendly sometimes not. It's ok we don't expect first class service here but the food is good!

We went to eat at Chow Lucky Noodle Bar in the Villa casino in Burnaby the other day. Not sure what the health codes are during Covid but noticed that there is no spacing/separation between the tables there and no type of partitions. We also noticed that they don't properly wipe down the tables and saw them use one of the napkins that was left on the table to clean off any food, etc. Didn't see them use a spray bottle with disinfectant. A lot of the time you will have to remove the dishes left behind by the previous patron and wipe down the table yourself. Please observe and report to management if the staff neglects to clean tables before you eat.

Ordered a fried rice to go but got burnt rice instead. I don’t know how they thought it was ok to even serve this. Didn’t realize until I got home. Very disappointed.

Was there the other day to order 1 dish of noodles for take out. Seemed to be waiting a long time for my food. I saw other customers arrive after me and also or their food for take out and some ordered to dine-in. They were receiving their orders within 5-10 minutes. I was patient and a bit longer for my take-out order but other customers arriving and ordering were receiving their orders and I was still waiting. I asked one of the restaurant employees regarding my order and she said soon. My order had still not been started and the other staff did not seem to care. After inquiring a second time they looked into my order and finally saw the cook start my dish of noodles. When I received my noodles, I looked at my receipt to see what time I placed my order. 1 dish of noodles took 37 minutes. Oh!, the noodles were not bad, but employees seem not to care about service.Read the earlier post. While waiting for my food I did notice they don't seem to wipe down the tables after taking away dishes left by previous people eating.

I enjoyed eating the food here and want to go again!

Great late night eats at this place, better than the restaurant next door! The chicken chow mein was good and it was quick service. Recommended, also great portions.

We love the Beef Chow Fun! Visited this place from Singapore and surprised to find this noodle place. This has the “wok hey” taste. SO NICE!
