At the age of three, we noticed our daughter was having difficulties with her speech development. I went online to find a private speech therapist to help us. Within 24 hrs I received a response from City Speech Centre and an appointment for an assessment that same week. That was when we met Shira and everything changed for us. Within the first half of that initial appointment, Shira pointed out that perhaps the problem was more than developmental. Soon after, our daughter was diagnosed with Velopharyngeal Insufficiency (VPI). After multiple surgeries to repair this condition, we found ourselves back in Shira's office and have been working with her since. I cannot thank Shira enough for the effort she has put into working with our daughter and the improvements that we have seen. Shira has always made herself available to us and has been extremely professional and caring. She has always been honest with us and gone out of her way to help. We are so lucky to have had the chance to work with Shira.

My son was seeing Shira and she was wonderful to work with. She's extremely patient and our son's sessions were always fun and engaging - he loved coming to see her. We highly recommend her services!

City Speech Centre services are wonderful. My son is improving so much and loves to go to his therapy sessions. I would recommend City Speech Centre with my eyes closed. I really feel fortunate to have found this place and specially having Shira Meltzer as my my son´s therapist.
