Visited on: Sunday, May 28 2023Hank’s is under new management, they’re super friendly and there are picnic tables available now. Another good change is the ability to pay by credit (previously was cash only). However, the menu has changed and it’s not as good as it used to be. The biggest disappointment was no more deep fried pickles and the brown gravy is tasteless (flat). Unfortunately we most likely won’t be returning. The new owners seem great, and if you’re not having the gravy then you’ll probably love this place!

Visited: April 24 5:30 pmStopped in for a visit in the later afternoon. The place was quite busy which is always a good sign when stopping at a chip joint. The service was polite, though a little slow due to the high volume of people. But very reasonable considering the traffic.Cash only so make sure you prepare for that. Prices were reasonable, about average. Portions generous and the food was hot and tasted great.The only reason for 4 stars was, no debit option, but the food was good!I would go back again!

I finally ate something at Hanks Fries. I have only tried his fries but it has been a long time since I loved every bite of my fries. They were suburb, very tasty, so much so I struggled home driving cause my hand was constantly in the fry box looking and wanting another. Hanks potatoes are from the USA I was told and so are they. Anyway, He obviously cares about the taste of his food which is rare these days, you all should check him out. Prices are fare and he has a Southern fried chicken and fries dish that sounds delightful, the guy behind me said it was really good. So nice place, nice people, good food, what else can I say but see you again and those were some tasty fries, mmmmm.

Best chip truck I've ever been too. Big portions, real cheese, golden fries and the crispiest piece of fried fish I've ever had. The bacon cheeseburger is the size of your face. You can tell that the new owners are passionate about the taste and quality of the food. Not to mention that the owners are awesome! All in all, I would recommend it to everyone passing through the area. This was the perfect start to sunny day road trips with the family

Excellent food, crispy fries, great portion of fish both perfectly cooked, burger is excellent. Probably the best chip truck food you will ever have. Or a restaurant for that matter. On top the owners Janet the chef and Larry are just so pleasant and friendly makes it even more of a pleasant experience. A must try. Thanks

Owners were complete sweethearts.Stopped into smiths falls for a night, had a bacon cheeseburger and a poutine on night 1, while the wife had chicken fingers.Food was so good we decided to swing back for lunch on the way out where I tried the chicken burger. Delicious food all around.Will be back

The service was fast, the food was good and the lady's working were very nice. Amazingly large portion of haddock fish. (see photo), and reasonable sized portions of fries. However, the reason for 4 out of 5 stars is it all was extremely greasy (oily), the fish soaked the paper bag they put it in, the batter on the fish was (in my opinion) overly crunchy, and their prices are a bit high compared to other fish and chip trucks that we have been too. We ordered 2 portions of fish with chips and an extra order of small fries. The total came to very close to $30.

Best chip stand in the whole province! (Not exaggerating) The food is fresh, delicious, and quality made in house. Plus you just can’t beat that friendly service! We’ll be back all summer. New owners really turned this place into something great!
