Automatic five stars for being a bar without TV screens. Very rare treat in Vancouver to escape the screen glare.Great vibe. Split level layout. Range of beers. Hosts local live music. What's not to like?

Popped in here a couple weeks ago for a drink and found out it was a hot spot with live music. Pheonix was on the mic with the most beautiful voice. Truly the voice of an angel. And then there was Benjamin on the guitar… absolutely amazing. Im pretty sure the bartender that nights name was Alex… pretty sure that was his name but he was great! Amazing energy definitely will be back! xox

I had an amazing time! The live music was fantastic and really added to the great vibe of the place. I couldn't help but tap my feet and dance along to the music.The food was also delicious - the nachos were amazing, the flatbread was good and the cheese board was tasty. The overall atmosphere of the pub was just right, it had a really good vibe.Overall, I would highly recommend Portside Pub to anyone looking for a fun night out with great live music and delicious food. The nachos were especially outstanding, but the flatbread and cheese board were also really good. The atmosphere is just right, making it a perfect spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a great time.

They changed their menu and the food here is really decent for bar food. It is stuff that compliments the drinks very well and I would definitely recommend the bulgogi chicken sliders, everything was very flavourful and tasty. The live music that they play on weekends is nice too, I like how there is a top and bottom floor, plus the pool table.

Thanks to Chelsea and Nathan for the great time at the Portside Pub. Ok…more Chelsea than Nathan, but as a team the experience was great. During a busy Jazzberry Ram concert, Chelsea managed to single handedly serve the entire top floor, and most of the bottom, without a hiccup. Nicely done. We’ll be back for beers again soon!

portside has a great atmosphere and great music. unfortunately they have terrible bar service and the bartender i dealt with most of the night didn’t bother us with any of her attention and when i ordered from her and asked with help bringing the drinks to my friends… (the bar was as empty she didn’t help anyone after me) she said no and when i went to pick the first half of my drinks up, one of the shots fell over and poured out and before saying anything else, she said she couldn’t replace it. I ordered four drinks, and one shot she couldn’t replace? after i initially asked for help? and i just paid 50 dollars with tip? very rude and unprofessional. she watched how it was an accident, not me being too drunk, and still acted so rude! coat check girls are so nice even tho they are completely overwhelmed! hope they are compensated accordingly!!!

Went there for the first time for a lobster boil. It was a great experience. Food, service and location was great. I did order an extra lobster tail for $15 but they ran out of lobsters because some lobsters arrived dead in their shipment. So they refunded my $15 and gave me a $10 gift certificate for a free drink that I was able to use that night. Awesome way to handle this problem!!! Had a great time!!

I went here as part of a conference event. So we only took up the 2nd floor. We didn't use the 1st floor so this review isn't really 100% accurate lol.The 2nd floor was quite private and we were hidden from the 1st floor sight though we could see them. It was nice.The only thing is that it's too dark! I couldn't see anyone or anything. Heck, I couldn't even see my food LOL.The staff there were amazing. Dave the bartender was so nice and even gave a complimentary drink when he knew it was my 1st time drinking.The other staff were amazing. They looked stressed, especially that one guy clearing the tables and giving food. But they were all very polite.The food was very good. They had mac and cheese, sliders, falafel?, Pizza, and some french looking appetizers. It was pretty salty but nonetheless good. They even had food warmers which was a nice touch.The washrooms were cool, and had a brewery/dock kind of theme. Very artistic!
