Nemesis Coffee Gastown
In our recent stay in Vancouver, we found a Nemesis cafe only 3 minutes walking distance from our hotel and it presented a wonderful option for an early morning breakfast.The Nemesis Coffee Gastown welcomed us with a bright and very specious venue. The cafe has lots of greenery holding from the ceiling and it brightens the ambiance. I also liked the signs on washrooms - very nicely presented.Even at 8:30 am they were already very busy and all the tables were taken. Yet, while we were placing the order at the cashier we were told that they will organize a table for us. That’s exactly what they did. It was small table, but very cosy and enough room for two people to have breakfast. We tried their turkey cheese egg grilled croissant, which was very tasteful and nicely prepared. I also had a freshly steeped herbal tea. I was very impressed to see how the tea was so artfully steeped and prepared just for me. It was full of taste and character. The small was amazing. Overall the taste, the service, the presentation and atmosphere was a great way to start a day!We definitely enjoyed our experience at Nemesis! We hope you will too!

I ordered the avocado toast and an espresso. The avocado toast was very unique. it was cut in 4 slices to resemble a steak. For the espresso it was nothing special unfortunately. They had a plethora of different roasted coffees for sale but only made the most underwelming of the selection they offered. Next time I would love to try the nicely prepared baked goods you had in the case.

Great place with pleasant atmosphere. I tried there chocolate croissant and it was great. There coffee also excellent. Friendly and quick service. They have indoor and outdoor seating areas. Highly recommended.

Would Return/Recommend.Great coffee, they made it a little too hot to drink but I guess they do this during winter. Clean taste, great milk texture.Mushroom pastry is a must try. Absolutely delicious for a wet day. Creamy, earthy and crispy. Get it warmed up.Nice interior, not a lot of seating however. Takes AMEX.

Found the cashier to be quite dismissive with our genuine questions. Drinks were really not that good, lacked flavour and overall unsatisfying. We expected them to be a little more 'presentable'. Overall, much better coffee places to check out.

Nemesis Coffee Gastown
I left Vancouver 5 years ago. At that time Nemesis was great. I’m confident to say they’ve upped their game and remain at the top end of the Vancouver coffee and pastry scene. Everything we had was top of class. Coming from Europe I was not expecting to be floored by the pastries but they were truly exceptional.Food was solid. Service is speedy and helpful. Coffee was really cool. A bit stronger brew than European style brewing but great none the less.High recommendation,High praise.

Trying out the famous Nemesis Coffee in Vancouver. Few steps away from Gastown, they have selections of pastries from croissants, cookies to cruffins; and brunch as well. I love the lofi hip hop vibes here, and the rap album vinyls as their decorations.We ordered:* Tiramisu Croissant - I'm all about croissant and tiramisu; the espresso cream inside is delicious, but i'd say a coffee is needed to balanced out the sweetness.* Cookies & Cream Cruffin - The cruffin is soft instead of flaky. A nice ratio of white chocolatecream & cookie crumbs, and beautifully topped with dark chocolate ganache & chocolate wafer cookie.* Latte - Really good quality of coffee. You can taste the difference rather than having Starbucks imoIf you're visiting Vancouver, this place should be on your list.

Okay wow! This place was amazing- from the delicious croissant like pastry we had (it had the tastiest raspberry and custard filling) to the perfectly steamed and prepared oat flat white/chai latte!!Staff were super friendly and the shop is inviting, has great natural light, and had good amount of seating!The area is a little sketchy, but that can’t really be helped

Loved coming here during our stay! The cruffins are amazing, and such a unique pastry option, and the croissant was also delicious. Flat white was great. Seating was comfortable and the cafe has a peaceful vibe.

Good place for coffee and bites.We tried the croissants, latte, mocha and hash. The butter croissant was made really well, very fluffy and multiple layers and crisp on the outside but I wish it was warmed up before serving.The latte and mocha were good, the hash wasn't to our taste.Would recommend this place for their croissants, and the French toast brulee sounds like an incredible concept, will be back for this one.
