Nice hike, trails are in good condition. Wear good hiking shoes, parts of the trail can be steep or mucky.

Hammond River Nature Park
I've loved this trail for 20 years. First time back in a few years. Quick and enjoyable especially if you enjoy kame stones or ice age history.

Hammond River Nature Park
This would be a 5 star if it was better maintained. There 2 main trails, the red and blue one with smaller orange ones connecting the sections (check map picture in my review). The red one is in ok shape though there's a fallen tree blocking part of it so i had to climb over that. Overall good trail that will take you from a gravel road to a wooded area and pass by the river banks. Trail had some steep uphills, mossy rocks and mud so definitely not for kids. The red trail was about 2 km long, can take up to an hour to complete. There's a small parking lot, can fit about 8 to 10 cars. Usually not that busy and accessible through a gravel road.

Great place to take a hike. A few different trails. You can take the easy loop or go right down to the water.

Hammond River Nature Park
Decent little neighbourhood nature park with beautiful access to river.Gravel trail is nice but poorly planned - some sections are too steep for those with mobility issues and not very stroller friendly either so bring a child carrier for babies/toddlers.Non-gravel trails are nice but always wet. Could use a lot of love (drainage and boardwalks/stone armouring).New additions are awesome: bathrooms (not sure when they’re open?), swing, and a natural play structure.

Really good nature trails in there but if you dint know where you're going then it can get confusing with the signs not being correctly placed and easy to see.
