Tilbury Tots Early Learning Centre

Horrible place. Agreed to help with our son for care. We agreed to get our son started and he was there for one month before they were moving him up. then had supports come in, and told us that we would be moved up to more days too help accommodate our son we were happy to work with that. Assessment was done. To find out our son needed to have a dsw with him. Told us that they were having a hard time with him to the assessment lady. But did not ever discuss this with mom and dad. Then recieved a message last minute that our sons times for drop off were changed when we made a set schedule and the response we received was they didn’t have “staffing” not our problem. We had a set schedule. No good place. The staff was good with our boy the few we did have in the toddler one room . Some grumpy ones in the toddler room two. And didn’t speak to mom and dad. And gave us bad vibes. Not happy at all. mrs robin was amazing with our boy in toddler room one, and when moved rooms was a different ball game.

Working for this company was an absolute disgrace. The negligence towards the staff, families, and even the children they presented was atrocious. 5 years of my life I put into this centre and then they permanently close because they wouldn’t hire more staff for years. They blamed it on us when we said we wouldn’t drive an hour and a half because it was completely unreasonable without mileage and considering we applied in Sarnia. They wrote us all termination packages not created by a lawyer saying it was our fault the daycare shut down and none of us would be getting severance pay. We still have not received our Record of Employment from this crooked company. We asked for our 2022 contracts and they sent us our 2018 contracts. They then tried to say I didn’t work there for 5 years and it was only 2, I then had to refer them back to the 2018 contract that they sent me, that states when I started. They tried to pay me $180 to keep my mouth shut. $180!!!! They then gave us a deadline 4 days from the date of closure and ignored all our phone calls leading up to the deadline. The owner Jody harassed me and called called me names which I have on video. If the ministry spent a week at any of their centres they wouldn’t have a child left in their care.

They love my child like he is theirs
