They are amazing, helpful, kind, and are doing it out of a love for the people of Detroit because a few years ago Detroit had a severe ack of grocery stores. These guys teach you how to grow stuff, let you borrow their tools, give out free seeds & plants, classes n everything from raising chickens to bees and all for a couple of jobs volunteering for a day and I think $20 for membership. They will do all they possibly can to help you succeed, and even show you how to sell your extra food!

KGD is doing great things for the city of Detroit! I went to volunteer and learned so much while being there. The site was beautiful and the things that grow there are delicious! Keep up the great work KGD!!!

If you are planning to have a veggie garden this is the place to go for everthing you need. Everyone ther was so helpful and nice. The young woman that helped me pick out all my plants on my list, she told me what I needed and when I should plant it.The people were kind nice and everyone had the biggest smiles on their faces and it was chilly and rainy but they all were eager to help. I will go dack there in a heartbeat.

Great to see this farm get rebooted via Keep Growing Detroit. It's a nice replacement for their former farm location near DTE and MGM. Being on the Dequindre Cut and at Eastern Market really helps improve access, too.
