Nova Cleaners on Javis/Esplanade

I rarely leave reviews, but this time I can’t leave it like this. I was going to this place regularly. Once I didn’t check their work on the spot and when I came home I realized that my new skirt was completely destroyed. The lace was ripped and waist band was burnt. When I came back at first they were trying to say that it was done in some other place. When they finally found me in the computer they said that they couldn’t have done it and it’s not their work, probably I did it myself and then just came back to complain.I understand that anything can happen but I was expecting at least apologies, but not this reaction. And I was a permanent client, so they remembered me and knew I was not a crazy one who just wants to complain.I will never again go to this place.

Good dry cleaning service, quick and reasonably priced. I brought in two heavy wool coats, and the turnaround time was 1 day for ~$22/coat - other cleaners I have tried before took 3-5 days and cost $5-10 more. Also a bonus, there's no chemical smell at all coming off my coats which I've experienced from other places.

Very rude. My wife used to drop off my suits all the time. They advertise on site, same day dry cleaning. I called the other day and the gentleman who picked up the phone promised me if I came before 11am then same day wouldn't be a problem. Then when I arrived at around 10am the woman, who I can only describe as annoyed, said they NEVER do same day cleaning unless you arrive in the morning (again, it was 10am and the gentleman, who I believe is her husband, assured me earlier that morning that it would be fine). Truly dismal experience and very, very rude woman. I suspect they went downhill during COVID. Would recommend going to Esplanade Cleaners, where I ultimately got my dry cleaning done.

After having a few bad experiences with other dry cleaners, I was finally able to find Nova Cleaners who has been very consistent and provides great price for its quality in both alterations and dry cleaning.I can always rely and trust that they will take extra care of a particularly special piece of garment and also advise me on the best way they are able to handle it from their experience to avoid any surprises down the road. This is not something I can rely on dry cleaners to do consistently. I highly recommend this service especially if you own a lot of special garments that require extra care!

For downtown Toronto, its as fair as you can get pricing wise. They're very friendly and helpful.

They ruined my one good dress by ironing out the pleats, after they assured me that wouldn't happen, saying just that they could not iron back in any of the few pleats that had smooothed out. I asked her 3 times to phone me ahead of time if they found out it could be a problem, but no phone call. My one and only expensive (Pink Tartan!) dress - with a skirt full of gorgeous pleats - came back with not only the pleats gone, but the entire skirt is wrinkled! I had this dress drycleaned before, and it was returned in good condition. There is no excuse for Nova.

Pretty good job she really helped get most of the stains out, but she treated me horribly when dropping off my stuff, she could be selective with her customer service skills but for sure needs to learn to treat everyone equally when coming back to pick upMy stuff she was nice, I was dressed up as well for a thought

Used them for more than a decade. I have tried other dry cleaners for convenience but I always come back because of their quality service. Highly recommended if you need your clothes drycleaned/washed regularly.

We have been using this dry cleaning service for at least fifteen years. Excellent cleaning, top notch service, helpful and friendly staff. Great location across the street from the St Lawrence Market. Highly recommend.
