Pasqual's Cantina | Pasqual’s has always been a place of gathering for Madisonians and the surrounding communities. We have kept our time honored and loved recipes the same, while chef/owner Benjamin Roberts has added a few new things to add flavor and excitement to the mouth and soul.

I'm originally from New Mexico so I'm very skeptical of Mexican food. This was very tasty! Maybe not as hot as I'm used to, but to be honest we are a little far from NM. The flavors were amazing! They even were able to do my enchiladas Christmas" style

Absolutely our favorite place! The entire family loves it. The guacamole is amazing. Homemade chips with fantastic seasoning. We have been frequenting for years, and no one has been disappointed with their food. That's quality. The enchiladas are a family favorite. Any of the burritos are a winner. I have one kid who loves the rice so much that she orders an extra side every time. Oh, and the Margaritas!!! It's worth stopping in just for one of those.

We've always loved their food! To be honest we miss the east side location but on our trips to the west side we make sure to drop by and try some of our favorite foods. My personal favorite is the vegetarian quesadilla

I love tamales so I had to order them here. They were okay but not great.They were steamed in the husks as is traditional, but they put the sauce and cheese on the husks. Once you took the husk off there was no sauce or cheese.They should really open the husks and apply the sauce and cheese. That's how they do it most places I've been to. The masa corn meal was dry and crumbly instead of moist. Flavor was okay but not great.Most Mexican places have free chips and salsa. Here they charge. They asked if we wanted mild or medium salsa. We said both. We were charged for the cups plus an extra $1.50 for getting both salsas. What's usually free cost us over $7.00 after tax and tip.My wife liked the Taco Salad.Overall I'd say it was okay, not bad, but they're are so many really good Mexican places that I wouldn't feel the urge to go back.

Nice, family style place. Food was okay, asked for Heuvos Rancheros eggs to be cooked over easy and they got it wrong X2. They Didn’t ask if it was fixed properly. Oh well.Decent drink list. Plenty of parking.

We have enjoyed Pasqual’s for years. Always good food! My favorite is the pork carnitas quesadillas. The pork is smoky, tender and delicious. Must have the tomatillo salsa with it! The staff is friendly and welcoming. Brooke is our favorite hostess!

Good place for a quick meal and good margarita. Staff was friendly and food came out quickly. A bit on the pricy side to me even taking in to account inflation. Nachos were a good size portion. Quesadilla was on the bland side. I liked the medium salsa over the tomatillo salsa.

We just moved to the area and the place we moved into left a coupon for Pasqual's so we gave it a try. We went at 11am on a weekday so it wasn't busy yet. The food was really good with generous portions and we left feeling very full. The dining room was nice and there is also an outdoor seating area with a nice water view.

I have eaten here a few times. Each time has been completely different.The service has either been poor or very good. No in between. One time my order was not correct but still chose to eat it. Was not offered a discount on my bill for the mix up. Service was slow they were understaffed that day or so we had been told. The next time service was great. Food was served quickly. The Veggie Enchiladas were solid. Same with rice and beans served on the side.Parking is a hassle small lot and street parking is tight as well. If it is busy you will have to park a few blocks away. Place is very noisy when it is busy. It can be hard to carry a conversation or hear your sever speak to you. Nice patio area though.I would say it is worth trying if you have never been there. Like I said you may have a good experience or a poor one.
