After my first few times coming here it quickly became my favourite place to eat in downtown Kingston for sushi and ramen. You get a lot of food for the price; the prices range from being low to fair. While the restaurant itself is small, they also provide takeout if you'd rather grab some delicious food and go somewhere else. If you want to eat in though? It's a gamble on if the place will be busy, so I can't say to expect a wait or to be seated immediately: but I can say the food is EASILY worth the wait if there is one. The rice is fresh, the broth of the ramen is the best I've ever had and their tempura is fried in such a light and crunchy batter you'll want to go and stop in frequently. It's a great spot to bring friends or to order a meal and eat on your own, and it's close to everything else downtown. Parking can be a pain, but so long as there isn't an event going on you can park at the Leon's center and walk over.I've taken pictures from a good handful of different visits, and the food is always served looking great!

Very delicious and tasty asian food, and the very nice couple who owns this little restaurant are very respectful and warm. We should help and patronize local businesses like this. Our new favourite asian restaurant. To add to that, the prices are very reasonable and affordable.

Good value for what you get. Lots of filling in the Maki, nicely presented. Fresh salad and water brought without asking. Very friendly staff, too. Really busy on a Wednesday night and not a very big space. Worth the 30 minute wait.

If you are thinking about sushi this is the right place for you. The best sushi restaurant in Kinston! I was traveling for a business and actually already tried some Japanese restaurants in the area. I finally leave a review here. The owner and staff are very friendly and kind. I was thinking about menu but a staff recommended her favourite. I really enjoyed the food.

Found this place by accident but so glad we did. Was just driving thru Kingston and decided to stop and grab dinner. Sunday night and not many places were open. Happy to have stumbled upon this restaurant. The server was so friendly and service was fast. Food was yummy. Ramen hit the spot. Sushi was fresh. Katsu was juicy and crispy.

My friend and I split the regular size ingeolmi bingsu; it was pretty filling and the flavour was great—loved the addition of red bean! The owners were so so nice; we had a great conversation with them! I would definitely recommend :)

Even though the restaurant name changed to The Shuroop, the quality of food and service is still just as fantastic! The Shuroop ramen was delicious and the portion was very generous!
