This dish not only tastes bad, but the presentation is awful. It was supposed to be a cream sauce, but it was so watery like spaghetti in a cream broth.The seafood was tasteless. It seemed like the put tge precooked seafood with the spaghetti and just pour the watery sauce over it then serve. I tried to hope for the best, hoping it will taste better than it looks, but it failed. I complained about it, but the server didn't offer to make me another one or have a new order. She told me she had reflected my concerns to the kitchen staff and went ahead to charge me 16.99 for a dish that tastes worse than a frozen dinner.

This little place has become a recent favourite for our group. It strikes just the right balance for quality of food, price and speed of service. So far every dish has been bang on and service has been kind and quick. They’re proficient with Cantonese, English and mandarin. Definitely passes the ethnic local test. Would come back, repeatedly.

I recently had a truly disappointing dining experience at a restaurant that I cannot, in good conscience, recommend to anyone. The quality of the food was abysmal, to say the least. Not only did I find human hair in my dish, but I also spotted mice scurrying around the floor. It was an utterly unappetizing sight that completely ruined my appetite. Naturally, I immediately brought this issue to the attention of the manager, hoping for a resolution or at least an acknowledgement of the problem. Unfortunately, the manager seemed completely indifferent and apathetic to my concerns, showing a complete lack of professionalism and customer care. It was disheartening to see such a dismissive attitude, as if my experience didn't matter. The overall food and service were nothing short of trash. From the unappetizing hair in the food to the presence of vermin, this restaurant clearly lacks basic hygiene standards. Considering my dreadful experience and the lackluster response from the manager, I have no intention of ever visiting this establishment again. It is also overly priced

Decent classic HK style cafe food (not very sure why the English name is such as there is absolutely no Korean food on the menu). Services are standard, prices are fair, and portions are big. Ordered curry brisket (very tender!), and mixed grill platter (meat lacked flavour...)Nice to have for comfort food if you live in the area but probably don't need to go out of your way for this.

The environment is good. And it's crowded all the time! The air-conditioning is very strong. The seating is quite spacious. There are bar- like seating near the window too. They have a variety of HK-style cafe cuisines. Some of them really bring nostalgic memories. They have Russian borscht macaroni! There used to be Borscht-flavoured cup noodles too! Overall, it's not too bad!

A restaurant with an identity crisis, matsuya is Japanese, it says Korean cafe, the fare is Hong Kong style. Price is cheap, but so is the food quality. Their special’s $10 is just right for 1 meal.

It was my first time having lunch here. The restaurant was very clean & spacious. It’s a nice place for food and chat with friends. The environment made us feel very comfortable & relaxing. We enjoyed the food there. The service was great!It’s been a while since I ordered from Matsuya. This time I ordered two combos to go. The bento lunch box with lemongrass pork chop was good. It came with two side dishes including: tomato fried eggs which was yummy but, the fungus tasted oily and bland. The curry beef brisket was also tasty. It was nice that both combos came with Borscht soup and a drink. The price was reasonable and the portion was quite big.

Prices are slightly higher but the food quality is excellent. It has a good mix of Chinese and Korean food on the menu. Some of the staff are from New City Restaurant so for me it felt like Home since I have been there for over 15 years. Selections of the lunch specials are amazing. Definitely recommend for a repeat visit!Update - Finally had a chance to try breakfast (finally after all these years) at a pretty affordable price and the quality was great!
