My first time trying tamales so I have no real point of reference but they were delicious! The kind woman at the counter lead me through what I should order and how to eat it. Awesome experience, definitely putting these tamales on rotation!The place also doubles as a specialty grocer, great to note for any home cooks who can’t find the right dried chilies at conventional grocery stores.

This place offers some great authentic Mexican street food such as Tamales, Tacos etc. What I really liked about this place is that food doesn't feel greasy/heavy (as with lots of other Mexican" places around the town) and the ingredients are actually good quality. Service is friendly and prices are very reasonable. Do check them out!"

We came here shortly after getting back from Oaxaca, Mexico and the tamales and hot chocolate were just as good! Friendly staff and a great selection - can’t wait to go back and try more! Bonus that they’re open till 10pm for later summer night hangs and eats. Lots of room to accommodate groups too!

Friendly staff. Homey and tasty food. We had plant based tamal bowl, horchata, and hibiscus drink. Everything was fresh and delicious. Bonus, I got to practice Spanish and learn a bit more about the rich Mexican culture :-)

This is my new favourite place in Mount Pleasant!! I got the chicken mole tamale and it was one of the yummiest things I’ve ever had. It was fresh and flavourful and filling. The staff here you can tell care deeply about their customers and their food. They were incredibly kind and welcoming. They gave us some Mexican coffees while we waited which were delicious. They even have a little grocery section with some fun Mexican candy, snacks and sauces. I’m so excited to see this pop up in our neighborhood. A must try!!

I finally stopped into this place for a quick tamale and it was super tasty. I got the jalapeno cheese. They gave a little taste of horchata and it comes with a side of pickled vegetables. Hot sauce is on the condiment stand, which I totally missed. I can't wait to come back and sample some other items.

Neat little eatery with a small grocer filled with authentic Mexican food. It was my first time trying tamales and it was quite tasty. I also had their mango drink and wow it was so refreshing and delicious.
