Earl Rowe Provincial Park
I’m a resident of Alliston and I come to Earle Rowe park because it’s almost always empty, therefore providing the peace and tranquility I very much enjoy. The paved walkways are very enjoyable for cycling as well and you can stop at the General Store for a treat or refreshment on your walk or ride. I would really like to see something done about the water so visitors could enjoy a swim. The geese are abundant and this seems to be another reason the park is never busy, however the scenery is very beautiful and the grounds are always well groomed. If you purchase a seasonal pass you can enjoy this park from April to November…. well worth the money!

The park has a lot of space for picnicking and several trails for hiking. However, the pond which is indeed a man-made lake isn’t safe for swimming at all because the bacteria level of the water is often high. Interestingly, the swimming pool was not open for people to have a safe and clean swim when we visited. Some people ignore the warning signposts and have a swim in the lake, which I would not recommend at all costs.

Nice park with nice campsites. Everything within decent walking distance. Park store is nice. Beaches are nice although the lake is full of goose poop I doubt that's like that all summer. Maybe a way to clean it up can be thought of. Besides that everything about the park is great. The pool is closed for the 2022 season and has been since covid but once they open it back up I bet they will be fully booked all year. Loved the Lookout point in the north part of the park and the trails were nice. Canoeing and Paddle Boating was fun.

Park services are adequate for families. Well maintained. Washrooms were clean. We did enjoy a BBQ day party with family. The park appears to be very pet friendly.Their pool was closed, but we couldn’t find why. No notices or signs were posted anywhere about it. Possibly it was closed for the season.

Earl Rowe park was recommended by the parking officer at Mono Park. It is a provincial park. There are a lot of different parking areas depends where and which trail you want to go. We parked and went on the lookout trail. We found the site not very clear. The sign was nailed on a wood log in the intersection. We couldn’t tell the direction to right or left as the sign arrow points to the going straight. The trail is pretty we see the fall color. They are very nice for pictures. There are up hill slopes to the lookout point. For me, it was disappointing. It is just a flat area with a couple of benches. It is a nice area if for picnic though. The campground is well equipped with washroom and shower rooms. Filing station potable water and sewage dumping station for trailers. Love the beach area. I will come back in summer to see how the beach is.

Quiet, clean, huge sites, great trails to walk/bike. Store was well stocked with essentials. Ice cream bar was 10/10. Can't use the water at the beach, unfortunately, because of bacteria. I really hope they fix the 1 acre pool... That would make this an absolute must-go-to destination.

Nice park for camping. Stayed one night in the rabbit loop spot #23 and was very happy with our stay. It was private and backed onto forest with a good spot for our tents and vehicle. There was nobody around us which was odd for a provincial park but can't complain. Other than a noisy subwoofer banging from another section of the park it was very quiet. When we did complain about the noise at almost 10pm the warden was quick to shut it down.

Very gorgeous park, very beautiful scenery, very spacious campsites and there are lots of activities to do around the camp! There are various trails that are perfect for biking and for the more adventurous, definitely a great hike!Canoe and paddle boat rentals are available at the park store during the summer time, very reasonable price for an hour!Only downfall to this campsite is not being able to swim in the little lake the have on site but there is a swimming pool available on the other side of the campground!
