Pre-ordered a Fresh Mango birthday cake.Was ready on time, staff was friendly and the cake was very good!The fresh mango was a very nice touch, sponge was light and fluffy, the filling of fresh mango was delicate and not overly sweet.Very good, light cake that you can eat without guilt!Will be ordering cakes from them again in the future!

Mango cake was delicious. Decent price. Tastes like a fluffy cloud. I would give the mango cake a 4.95/5 (I usually give a little space for improvement, but honestly, this was it. I’m not so certain you could get something better than this anywhere else. Only thing that would make it better is if price was cheaper? Quality of the cake definitely delivered.The reason I gave this whole review a 4/5 stars is because I had also asked if they had smaller slices of cake. I requested a mango and green tea mousse. The people working there said they’d check the back and let me know. They came out with a bag and two slices of cake, but had closed the bag (so I assumed they had one of each). I didn’t ask, but they also failed to communicate to me they had given me ONLY 2 slices of mango, and no green tea). I would have preferred to pay for 1 mango slice since they didn’t have green tea - I really didn’t want two.

Unfriendly and rude staff. I usually eat at a restaurant nearby so I’d like to stop by and take some dessert home after my meal. Cake quality is decent and this place is convenient. The lady at the counter never said hi when you approach her. She’s always grumpy and I usually felt unwelcomed even though I never really asked for anything unusual besides saying hi and asking for the stuff I want.One time I had a friend’s birthday and it was last minute planning. I was in the area and I called to see if they have any cake available for pick up the same day in a few hours. The lady on the phone was saying something I didn’t understand so I asked her to repeat. She just rudely hung up on me.Suffice to say I won’t be stepping foot in this bakery again.

A family member's birthday and the cake was so delicious! Amazing! Mangoes sliced so perfectly and everything so fresh and creamy.

I have been regularly ordering from Yamato Bakery for several years now and they have never disappointed! Their mousse cakes are smooth and flavorful. Their fresh fruit cakes are soft, light, and flavorful. If you like durian, definitely give their durian roll cake or durian cream puffs a try!We have gotten the green tea cheese cake which was very well done. It was light and fluffy that it felt like eating mousse. Like all of their cakes, they are not too sweet and it was easy to discern the flavor is green tea (or black sesame, or any other flavor except the taro is a bit more subtle).Service has always been friendly. This will continue to be a regular place to get baked goods - highly recommended!

If you like mango cakes; There is no other place than this that would give a better taste!I got their fresh mango cake for my birthday and it was incomparable! Super fluffy and fresh, not to sweet (which I LOVE)Highly recommend to try it!

We picked up the Tiramisu cake for my birthday and it was spectacular! So delicious and light. It made my birthday feel very special. We also grabbed small slices of the Japanese Cheesecake and Strawberry White Chocolate cake and both were delicious, you could tell the ingredients were fresh. We absolutely will be back to support this bakery!

Absolutely love this place! Definitely going to be a a regular. The mango cake is delicious the sponge is super soft and perfect texture and the mango was sweet and perfectly tart too. Beautiful presentation as well. Really great people who own the shop too! Very kind and friendly! I highly recommend the mango cake, and I’m super picky about my cakes!!

Earl grey and Chocolate almond cookies from Yamato Bakery..They are just delicious and each box is just 5-7 bucks max (depending on the flavor).. I buy them all the time for work friends..The most impressive thing is their customer service. I always take my 11 yr old who is also autistic. So, he doesn't like small talks. But the owners are very accommodative and understand his struggles. At the end of our shopping, they would give him a cookie and make his experience at the store rewarding❤️❤️Another time, they gave me a free egg tart as they didn't have the curry beef pastry I asked for (I was totally happy to take the chicken lol).They go above and beyond with their service.Other favourites are: mango moose and walnut & dates cake.#supportlocal
