Originally started taking classes here three years ago and I fell in love. Extremely empowering!All the regulars are so friendly and Chris the instructor fosters an environment that is both welcoming and safe.The studio itself is modest yet equipped. It proves that you don’t need to be showy in order to learn and have fun learning as well.Prices are extremely fair for the invaluable lessons! I recommend this place to ALL my friends.

I've been going to TKMA for 9 months now and have seen some dramatic improvements in my overall fitness as well as learning some valuable skills. The location is very convenient for TTC access and the schedule gives me plenty of choices to pick from.The head instructor, Chris, is very knowledgeable and capable, plus there are almost always other instructors attending a class themselves. They're all engaged enough to give personal help so even though I attend group classes, there's a lot of effective one-on-one coaching.Highly recommended!

I've always wanted to take up a martial arts discipline and I'm glad i chose Krav Maga and more importantly TKMA. Chris the instructor has been such a pleasure to work and train with. His patience guidance and skillset plus his friendly personality is exactly what I need to help boost my confidence and skills. It has also been a great pleasure to train alongside Ray and Jean Paul. I have made new friends in a very welcoming environment. Thanks TKMA!!!

This studios is INCREDIBLE!!! Not only is it a fantastica place to learn lifesaving self defence techniques, it is also a place to meet incredibly supportive and genuine people who want to help you and see you grow and succeed in your techniques and confidence!As a women who does a lot of traveling on my own, attending Krav Maga classes here has helped me gain confidence and skills that could one day save my life! And the great news is, there is no need to bring a partener, as there is always someone amazing excited to pair up with you!I can truly say that this studio has not only contributed to my physical well-being, but also to my overall enjoyment and happiness of my life! I highly recommend you at least try a class here, and see what a difference it can make in your life too!!! :)

The idea of learning self-defense seemed impossible at first, until I took classes at the Toronto Krav Maga Academy.Chris is extremely skilled and patient and walks you through each technique, step-by-step, explaining as many times as needed.It is very practical. You don't need to be fit or athletic to get started.I wished I'd joined years ago. The feeling of empowerment, is unmatched.

I've been walking by Toronto Krav Maga Academy for years and finally decided to join. I have to say with all honesty that this place is fantastic and judgment free. No matter your fitness level or experience Chris will make you feel at ease and go at a pace all can follow. The classes are scheduled so that you can attend at various times throughout the week. I highly recommend this place.

Chris is an amazing instructor. I have been going to TKMA for 6 years and have learned so much from Chris. The people are fantastic and the training is excellent.Once I took that first class, I fell in love with the school, instruction and people. It has been a life changing experience learning Krav Maga from a world class instructor! I noticed 2 distinct things when I went to take a class at this place:1. The instructor was welcoming and focused on creating a positive, safe atmosphere (he had a great attitude and good sense of humour).2. The instruction & demonstrations were very clear and well detailed. The quality was evident.This scored high points with me because I work in an elite and physically technical field -right away I could see that Chris valued good, clean technique and made sure he explained all the details of the moves clearly with an emphasis on moving slowly at first to master the progressions.I also took a class with the instructor from France, Jean-Paul (I think). He was billed as former French Foreign Legion. Super nice guy -and ya, you can tell he's the real deal!I have continued attending because the way the classes are conducted keeps my skill level growing, the workout is good, and they're always supportive when I need help.Additionally, I saw Chris's young daughters in a class and was impressed with their technique. So I brought my young daughter to the kids class. She is learning quickly and loves it. As a dad I am so glad to offer her these important skills (along with a great workout!).Safe, comfortable atmosphere, good people, quality instruction, good workout -I would not hesitate to encourage anyone to check this place out.

I've been talking my kids to this Krav Maga gym since 2016 and they LOVE it!! Chris is an amazing instructor and he's very good and patient with kids. All the kids are having fun and I'm amazed to see how quickly they learn self defense techniques for real life situations and how they've developed their confidence and awareness. NO MORE BULLYING ISSUES :) It's unfortunate that there are no classes these days, due to COVID, but we can't wait for the gym to reopen. Maybe some Zoom classes, Chris???

We partnered with Toronto Krav Maga Academy and offered a Self Defense Class to our employees. The instructors (Chris & Ray) were very welcoming, friendly, energetic, and informative! Everyone in attendance enjoyed themselves and took away some key learnings. It was a great way to connect with coworkers on another level, and share some laughs.I would highly recommend TKMA for any type of Team Building function or event. I’m personally looking forward to taking more classes at TKMA.
