Fish Lake Provincial Recreation Area
Yesterday was beautiful warm day, and surprising this mountain lake wasn’t uncomfortably cold! The water was calm so we took the paddle boards out for a spin ! The fish lake campground was full as it was the August 1st long weekend! This can be a very busy campground so book your reservation in advance!

Fish Lake Provincial Recreation Area
If you're on loop 1 or 2.....perfection. unserviced but right on fish lake. Other loops are great for camping, big clean sites. But if you want to kayak swim or fish.....first come first serve on loop 1 and 2. Nice and quiet and private. We will be back!

Fish Lake Provincial Recreation Area
We had a beautiful pull through campsite. It has over 100 sites . It has 30 some sites with power. The gravel access road is really rough and poorly maintained. It has a little store. The lake was very nice, no gas boats. Firewood was ridiculous price.

Fish Lake Provincial Recreation Area
Stayed at a non powered site last year in loop 4 , site was awesome and as shown. Recently stayed at a powered site in loop 3. The site was nothing like what was shown in pictures when I booked. It says sites were improved but what was shown in the picture was nice , what we got looked like a machine had bulldozed it. Fire pits are so close to where trailers need to sit that smoke fills the trailer as soon as door is opened for even 30 sec.

Fish Lake Provincial Recreation Area
One of the best run campgrounds in the province. Super friendly staff from the store to the guy who cleans up the sites. Toilets are always clean and the sites are well spaced and fairly private. Just avoid the loops close to the lake. Not so private. Love this place. Been coming here for 30 years.

Fish Lake Provincial Recreation Area
Very clean. I like the lack of electricity, good for watching the stars at night. No power boats in the lake, so just the sounds of people having fun to break the peace and quiet.

Fish Lake Provincial Recreation Area
Beautiful surroundings, lots of trees and hiking trails. Walked around the lake, listened to the Loons, it is a great outdoor experience in the mountains.

Fish Lake Provincial Recreation Area
Very friendly staff, campsites were great, amazing fishing experience! It worked perfect for pulling the trailer and camping for the four nights we stayed. Would be great to have water fill up and sewage dump there onsite but we went through Nordegg going home and it was easy to get to the back of the motel and empty!

Beautiful lake for a visit, clean outhouses and a crisp clear Lake to have a swim with the family.Electric motors make for a more peaceful lake experience!
