I came to Hayley because my dog was very uncomfortable around dogs and displayed reactive behaviour on walks.I wanted to better understand my dog and learn how to train the dog in front of me. I know not all dog training can be applied to all dogs. I learned that the hard way by just copying how trainers online were teaching people how to solve dog reactivity. It just didn’t work with my dog.First lesson with Hayley and I understood everything about my dog! She just looks at the dog in front of her and figures out why the dog is behaving the way it is and provides you with an easy breakdown on what to do.Life changing things I learned from Hayley.1. Was using the word “no” the proper way so I can have full control of my dog. This is so life changing. I can say no to my dog across the room and he will walk back to where he was supposed to be. I feel like I have so much more control of him!2. Pressure and release with the leash. I wish I knew this 3 years ago lol. Communication on leash is so amazing! My dogs actually looking at me for guidance on walks and knows what the pressure means.3. Drives. Learning about drives helps me understand my dog so much! I can look at a behaviour my dog is displaying and switch him into a drive I prefer.We have work to do but my relationship with him is like out of this world. I feel like I actually know who my dog is and his actions are not random anymore.

Hayley has been a huge help to us! We have not owed a dog before and were very concerned about training. Hayley not only gave us the tools to help us train our dog but she was there for us every step of the way (even when it felt impossible!) She is always honest and supportive in our training journey and tough when she knows you need it! I'm so glad we found her and are clients for life!

The work that Hayley has done with my dog Ziggy is truly unbelievable. I cannot say enough good things about her method, her attention to detail and her flexibility - she really meets each dog exactly where they are and decides carefully what is going to be the best way forward. She never gives up! If she doesn’t know, she consults with other trainers to be 100% sure that she’s giving you the best possible advice - unlike a lot of big name trainers in town, she never employs a “my way or the highway” approach and she works with you to make a solution you (and your dog) can live with. Honestly, I could talk about how great she’s been with Ziggy forever! This is the trainer for you!

Hayley and her team are amazing! When we got a puppy we chose the “rambunctious one” thinking he’d be a great addition. Little did we know he would be crazy!! We tried different training through different places and yet we just couldn’t get him to be the best boy he could be. Until I found Hayley at Hayls Hounds. Hayley understood what we needed and what Tug needed. She was patient, yet constructive, and determined, and willing to help change our crazy boy into the loving boy he is now. While we still have hiccups with Tug where he forgets his best behavior and lets his inner crazy goofy boy out. Hayley is a text message away from helping us get him back on track! We continue to work with him every day with the tips Hayley has given us. As well we started working with Shae her amazing dog walking guru. She’s been here twice and Tug can’t get enough of her! We are so grateful for Hayls Hounds and everything she stands for! Would recommend her and her team any day with any dog no matter their temperament! She works wonders!

Saige loves her daycare visits to Haylshounds. Hayley has built confidence Saige’s confidence in all areas.

Hayley was able to get our Cane corso pup to stop pulling on the leash and jump up , plus got her to stay on place bed and have controlled play time . We are so so happy with the results and our dog is much happier knowing her clear boundaries :) there are not enough positive words I could say about this business and how well they are with positive direction! The picture below has our 1 year old pup laying in her kennel that she went into all on her own with the door still open :)

It has been a pleasure having Hayley walk, train, daycare and dog sit it for us. We have full confidence in her training tacticsbas we have worked through our first years of dog ownership.
