Quite a good place, German restaurantThis Restaurant is really a gem in new Westminster … as they provide the authentic German food …. The food was really delicious and good portions. We couldn’t eat it all so we asked for takeout boxes . My stakes was perfectly tender and juicy and of cause to my liking … the staff was really professional and knows what they are doing … the servers were friendly and polite.The sides in our plates really complimenting to the stake.Thanks to old Bavaria staff who made our day memorable

Excellent, yummy food. We ordered schnitzels and they were perfectly crispy. the fresh veggies and roasted potatoes that accompanied were perfect matches. I've never been to Germany before, but the decor made me feel like I was transported for the hour or so it took to enjoy our meals. Our server was so friendly too, highly recommend! :)

We enjoyed a pleasant atmosphere and delicious dinner last night at the Bavaria Haus in celebration of a family birthday. Our waitress, Hardeep was terrific - very attentive and professional, and the food wonderful! We all had schnitzel and enjoyed it very much. The Black Forest cake for desert topped off a lovely evening.

Terrible service and food! The only table at 11 am on Sunday and we waited 40 minutes for our terrible brunch. We both asked for soft poached eggs and got over hard, greasy eggs, over cooked crispy bacon, greasy deep fried cheep hash browns, nothing special suasage and an ok waffle. Had to ask several times for coffee refills as server felt her side duties were more important! Server ignored me when I commented on not getting what I ordered as she couldn't care less. All of this for $25! what a rip off, will never return!

I am a Construction Worker working on 6th Street in New Westminster and it was my Birthday last Friday so I went over to have a Gourmet European Lunch instead of my usual Home Made Soups & Peanut Butter Sandwich.Got an Extra Serving of Schnitzel along with trying the Garlic Potato Cakes. German Potato Cakes are mentioned as Paul's Favorite Dish in 'All Quiet On The Western Front'.Was the First Time I ever tried Spatzle.I called ahead and made me Reservation and Order made the day before I was to show up so that they might have my Order Prepared for when I arrived. They did not start Cooking my Order until after I arrived so One Star Off for that.

It was my first time in the restaurant. I was not impressed with the food. It was ok but not great. The house is really beautiful. I don't think I will be back again.

The Old Bavaria Haus Restaurant
This place has gone downhill in the last 4 years. Used to be one of the best places in the lower mainland . Not sure what the other people are smoking that are giving this establishment 5 stars. I would rather eat at McDonald's. The old staff was the best. The entire staff is now Indian; that makes sense for a German restaurant?
