Tried to contact Grey Ridge with an enquiry about why, at the end of 2021, thjs company has switched from cardboard egg cartons to plastic. The phone number provided on their site is unavailable, and the 'Contact Us' email form on the website is not working - what a handy way to ensure they do not have to deal with questions or complaints. This company clearly has no concerns at all about the ecological future of our planet. I will not buy this brand again. NOTE: these are NOT Canadian eggs, either. Once again, profit trumps ethics. Disgusting. Hope this company goes under, fast.

I bought a 30 pack of your eggs.. they were terrible.. I have never had a problem making hard boiled eggs in my whole life until I had your eggs.. shell wouldn't come off and the egg pretty much fell apart. I'm not eating your garbage eggs again.

I have been buying eggs from L.H. Gray and Son Ltd. for a very long time and I have to say that for a while they were great, but now they are pure garbage. We recently painted eggs for Easter and had painted well over 200 eggs, all the paint went through. Please see the pictures attached. Bottom line is they sell expensive eggs for the same quality you get in lower egg brands. Their chickens are artificially fed and that is why the paint went through the eggs. Shame on them!!!

Lately I’ve been getting more and more eggs with double yolks… today the entire dozen are double yolks… this is not normal. They must be doing something Tom she the hens lay more eggs. I’ve had enough of this.update I just went through the second dozen and literally every one is a double yolk. This must be caused by hormones. 2 dozen eggs all with 2 yolks. I’ll never buy from this brand again.

I cracked an egg from my egg carton and to my disgust there was a tiny premature fetus. This was obviously fertilized egg. It looked like a little purple ball of flesh with white around the “yolk”. In previous years I was a vegetarian but due to health issues I have to increase my protein intake. This egg has unlocked new fears. I will NEVER eat eggs again because of your company.

I called last week because I had an 18 pack of eggs that when I broke them they were FULL of blood spots. They were also breaking in my hands. The young lady laughed at me and said that's normal because they are so fresh. Yet they expire this week. I will never buy eggs from here again family of 4 that eats eggs daily , raised by farmers from Orangeville I'm sure in my 50 plus years of eating eggs I would have seen ones like these before if that WAS NORMAL. Buyers beware this company does not care about their customers well being, should teach that girl some customer service skills.

Shopping yesterday and found the freerun eggs were now in a plastic container! I tried calling but didn't get the opportunity to speak with anyone. Its a horrible environmental choice to make, it tells us all that the company only cares for profits and not the environment. It really makes a person wonder about the other choices they make such as hygiene and their feed choices???Do they think Im paying extra for free run eggs maybe for ethical reasons?Come on really! Never again will I purchase from them if they won't even answer my calls!

PROS-Consists of mostly nice people-steady payCONS-If you get injured while you are on the job, they essentially bandage you and send you back out. Even with a doctors note, it likely be ignored in part, if not fully.-I had to call the head of HR if there was an urgent issue. The head of HR oversees all the plants nation wide, and found that I had an easier time getting a hold of her, than the HR person at the plant. Was give a very brazen ultimatum when I gave my 2 weeks notice and seemed shocked when I opted to not go along with it.-HR/health and safety sometimes give off a feeling that they were unapproachable making it hard to bring up concerns in order to remedy them.-favoritism was a legit issue and very blatantly demonstrated-when there are call ins, they have issues filling those positions leading to troubles being able to keep up with the machines.-This place WILL cause you stress and anxiety. I found the environment to be very depressing as well. This is exasperated even more for holiday and night shifts.Overall, I would highly recommend reading the reviews before starting so you know what to expect going in and prepare yourself accordingly. In the meantime, I hope grey ridge takes this critique to heart and is able to remedy these (and other) issues for their current and future employees.

Upon attempting to purchase eggs at the store today, I have found that your eggs are now being packaged in plastic crates. I will no longer be purchasing your eggs as long as they are packaged in plastic. Very disappointed to see this. I am from Strathroy and love supporting local. Please consider continued use of biodegradable packaging.
