Rise is a wonderful clinic. I especially appreciate Deepika, the physiotherapist. I noticed a great improvement in my hip after the first visit with her, and it continually gets better with treatment. She is warm, knowledgeable and has nimble fingers. An amazing healing woman! Thank you <3

I attended an excellent harm reduction workshop here, and also received Naloxone training. The nurse and community health worker were really friendly and I could feel they understood and cared deeply about the specific needs of this community.

Rise is awesome! I've been seeing Deepika, the physiotherapist for a knee injury and she's been a great aid in my recovery. When I first came to her I was feeling very hopeless and scared that I will never return back to normal, but with her help my muscles and knee is fully back to normal and most importantly i feel confident in my body and its abilities. She's very straightforward and tells you exactly what you need to do to get better, it's just what I needed and I'm so grateful. Thank you Deepika!

Approximately six months ago, while making pottery I cut my right hand fingers which was very painful. At almost the same time,I broke out in shingles. Since then I have been looking for doctor for my rt hand and shingles. I went to physios, acupuncturist, chirp and no one could help. When I was disappointed, I at Rise clinic they referred me to Deepika who specializes in Dryneedling. She is good, skillful physio who cares for her patients and helps them with pain.On my first visit Deepika greeted me with a warm welcome. She looked at my posture in order to concentrate on my healing. She took care of my neck and leg pain., pinched nerve, bone and everything what hurt.I am very appreciative of everything she has done for me.Thank you Deepika and Rise for Everything !

I can't say enough positive things about RISE! I have been so impressed with the genuine well-rounded care I have received there, I feel so looked after and supported. I've had the help of their Community Health Workers to navigate some govt bureaucracy. Through their support I was able to get all the right forms I needed for something, and they knew what I needed to do for it (thank you!!!). I have also seen doctors and nurse practitioners there, and really appreciated their attentive care, I felt listened to and that they really consider all aspects of my well-being, not just the one thing I might have contacted them about. We are very lucky in this neighbourhood to have RISE!

Rise community health centre has good doctors and receptionists. My experience with them has been great. Dr. Tharunmaya Abbu is very good at identifying any health issues at the begining and providing the right tests and medication. Dr. Deepika Sawant is awesome in providing guidance to exercises and thus helpful in getting rid of accumulating joint pains. The reception team is also pleasant and informative, one name I could remember is Ashu. I would recommend this health centre to anyone.

For a few months now I have had the opportunity to be supported by the entire Rise Community Health Centre team and it has been a great experience. The first one with whom I had an approach was Dr. Abbu, who guided me a lot from the way of feeding me to helping me do some medical tests to be able to know how I was in health and based on that to be able to exercise his knowledge with me. It was a blessing. This supported by a nutritionist, who also advised me to have better eating habits. I have recently seen my physio Dee who has been very supportive in helping me to walk better after a gout attack which hurt one of my feet. Thanks to the therapies and exercises that she had recommended, I have recovered my usual life and the pain is less and less. I am very grateful to all of them because they have given me the strength to continue with my normal life. Thank you very much for your support and for sharing your knowledge with so many people who need it, like me.Att. DG

I have had more confusion and issues dealing with this clinic than with the whole healthcare system in Vancouver. You ask me for all of my details, waste my time and energy putting everything down and then stating that you have RMT, RCC, ICBC related reporting etc but when I met with Dr Najafi, she clearly stated there’s no RMT, and there’s conditional RCC eligibility and she will not be helping me with ICBC reporting. When that was cleared in my first appointment, I went back to my previous doctor for ICBC related injury reporting and was told that they have transferred all the documents to RISE and have no records left. So either you help me or not, clear it up, organise your mess or don’t request documents that you’re not willing to help for. I’ve had no one call me back for future appointments, gave me resources that I can google online instead of an RCC.Please fix this, people in this city deal a lot with getting a family doctor and this takes a toll on my mental health ironically.

I love RISE. It's unlike any health centre anywhere. They have the NICEST staff, cleanest surroundings, take pristine care of patients, and you just can't go there without feeling well-cared for in leaving. A big shout out of gratitude for NP's Vanessa (and Stephanie who is now left Rise), and physio Keane. :)

The staff members at RISE are friendly and professional. Around the time I discovered the health centre, I had the pleasure of participating in a Mindfulness & Self-Compassion course run by Mik and Ashleigh. It is amazing to have such resources available in the neighbourhood and I am grateful that I can get most of my health needs addressed all in one place.Although appointment wait times may vary, I know I can get the help I need in a timely manner at RISE. NP Vanessa and physiotherapist Deepika are very attentive and knowledgeable - My body actually feels better overall, so I know I'm in the right hands!
