K&A Variety & Gas Bar

K&A is the best place to get your gas, smokes and treats. Butter tarts are delicious. It is worth the drive. From the laid back gas attendants to the fiesty sassy ladies working the counter. This place can get pretty chaotic, and all the employees inside and out, do a great job trying to keeping the flow moving quickly. They have a great selection of candy, old school candy, think late 80s style. They also have a great feature inside, the wall of shame" that you can read while you wait for your number to be called. This establishment is not the pollically correct snowfake type of place. Everyone is treated equally with humor and sass. Love coming here. The restaurant is great as well. Old school breakfast...for a very reasonable price. Been coming here for years and I will continue to keep coming. My kids love the treats and the craziness. All.of you do a great job."

mid what can I say, only good thing is you save like 1-2 cents compared to other gas stations, much other customer friendly places on the reserve, I’d prefer to pay 2 more cents and be happy with my service than leave their feeling angry, but I guess money saving is more favourable that’s it that’s all

It was a great experience using this gas station for the first time. Gas price was so low, and the staff at pumps and inside were so welcoming. Highly recommended!

Best gas station in Thunder Bay. Very friendly pump attendants and inside staff. My visit was quick and paid a reasonable amount for gas as well as a 5% discount for using cash/debit when I was here.

Good, friendly service, always a good price, they seem overwhelmed most time I go there (because it's busy) seems like they could use more people on shift but they always handle it well

Best gas station in Thunder Bay! Amazing staffEdit: Watched the owner yell and send home gas attendants in front of customers for closing off some pumps. Wasn’t busy or anything, so I don’t understand why it was a huge deal. Said she can do all the pumps by herself and was extremely rude and disrespectful to her staff. I wouldn’t want to work here if I was treated so poorly.

This is my favorite gas station. It statistically had the cheapest gas in Ontario last year when prices were $2.20/L everywhere else in the province. The gas attendants are always more than happy to fill up your car, even when the weather outside is utterly horrible. I took my 5 year old son in with me last fall and the last servicing the cash gave him a free bubble wand. Small things like that will always stick in my mind!
