I had carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands. I started with the procedure on my left hand. Soon after the procedure I developed a trigger finger in that same hand. Cortisone shots did not correct the problem. I did not want to wait for months for the trigger finger procedure to be done, and heard of Dr. Brutus and that he was highly recommended.I consulted with him and he explained everything very thoroughly, with no rush, and giving a lot of time for any questions. The procedure was done and he sets at least one follow up visit, or as many visits as necessary if needed, after the procedure.I was going to schedule the right hand for the carpal tunnel procedure withDr Brutus this time. But he suggested to do an ultrasound cortisone shot and see if that would correct my problem before doing the carpal tunnel procedure. I took his advice and my fingers are not numbing since.Dr. Brutus is very pleasant, patient, and caring. He has an excellent and knowledgeable staff.I would recommend Dr. Brutus with no hesitation.

I highly recommend Dr. Brutus to anyone who may have to consult and/or have need for surgery for hand issues. I found him to be an exceptional doctor in all the ways already mentioned in previous reviews - and more. I also experienced his team to be equally supportive and accessible. Private services can be expensive, yes, but for me was well worth it in the end in light of Dr. Brutus' expertise, timely appointments/surgery/follow-ups, and feeling throughout that I mattered as a patient/person.

I went to Dr. Brutus to fix my trigger finger that was brought on from walking my large dog who loves to pull. After examining my finger Dr. Brutus assured me that he could remedy this. After his quick intervention my trigger finger is no longer a problem. All is well. It has been a while since i experienced such calm and compassionate care in such a warm setting.I would highly recommend Dr. Brutus.

I went to see dr Brutus because wait times in the Ontario health system are not acceptable and Canada is not the country it once was, and deteriorating quickly. According to his website he is a ‘specialist’ in wrist and hand surgery. I went to Montreal for a $450 consult. I was sent down the hall for X-rays that I had to pay for. A $700 cortisone shot, a ($70 cash)Widget, (that cost $25 on Amazon then a reading of my X-ray explaining a ligament tear and some degenerative damage that he could not repair. Adios and goodbye, what a scam. One star is too much! Disappointed in Arnprior Ontario

My experience with Dr. Brutus and his staff exceeded my expectations. The clinic and nursing staff were professional and Dr. Brutus is an amazing doctor. I had surgery for carpal tunnel on both hands. I arrived at 7:30 a.m, surgery was at 8 and I was able to catch the 11 a.m. train back home. My symptoms were relieved the first evening. I was able to follow up with Dr. Brutus regularly. I would recommend Dr Brutus and his clinic for anyone considering hand surgery

Dupuytrens contracture … exceptional patient service, patient care, post surgery monitoring and patient follow through with ultra-prompt responses. Staff amazingly helpful and responsive - Stephanie - kudos! Dr Brutus’ care, skills and focus on patient education was greatly appreciated! Finally, clinical outcome - couldn’t ask for a better outcome. Honestly, in my 2 decades working in the health care sector … this is GOLD standard and should be replicated in all health care sectors by all providers …. thank you for this and what you do.

I had an initial consultation with Dr. Brutus early Dec. for nerve pain issues, loss of power, fingers’ clumsiness, lack of motor dexterity & rigidity bilaterally in both hands & fingers (? Carpal tunnel syndrome, ? Trigger fingers, arthrosis ???). I had done a lot of on-line research to determine the best specialist to consult. Dr. Brutus is certainly very knowledgeable, superbly nice & immediately accurately poses the appropriate diagnosis of Lacertus syndrome . However, my actual face to face consultation with Dr. Brutus was quite brief approximately 5-7 mins (not sure if he was in a rush on his way to the gym & saw me in the midst of the nurse’s assessment), where he did the scratch collapse test to confirm the diagnosis & mentioned he would do 2 cuts; one at the interior elbow & the other at the wrist level & handed me a brochure on Lacertus syndrome to read up on & explained that his nurse would explain everything. The nurse was actually very nice & thorough in her history taking & fingers/hands pressure testing & addressed the questions I had. However, from having read the overall on-line reviews & extensive research in my search for a commendable specialist, I was a bit disappointed in that the explanations for the diagnoses made & the surgical procedures fell short of expectations; somehow, the medical visit felt incomplete. It was not explained to me that the surgery would address both the Lacertus & Carpal tunnel syndromes nor was it explained to me that it would be 2 separate surgical visits or the surgical details. I have worked in the medical field for >25 years & therefore I am very well versed in medical concepts. My biggest issue is with Stephanie, the receptionist, though smart is very lacking in her ways of dealing with the customers both in person & over the phone. It makes me feel that you don’t need my business. This makes me hesitant in booking my surgical appointments. Should’t I obtain full satisfaction & feel confident about moving ahead if I’m forking out a hefty out of pocket fees for the services. Further outcome to be determined.

Excellent clinic, staff and care. Doctor Brutus is very professional, a great mix of knowledge, confidence and sense of humour. He is clearly very much liked by his staff and the atmosphere is upbeat and caring. I had my right trigger thumb taken care of, and while still recovering, the surgery was a success and conclusive.
