Star Kids Clinic

My review is 0 stars for the front desk but 5 stars for our paediatrician Dr. Watts and all doctors at this clinic. She is so amazing and the best of the best, she is so attentive, caring and truly treats your children as they are her own. She is the only reason why we are staying at this clinic, all of the doctors overall are all super amazing we have seen a variety of doctors at this clinic and they are so sweet and caring and really are the only reason we are still coming to this clinic. But the front desk staff will make any sane person lose their mind. They really could not care less about their job, after reading all of the reviews I see that I am definitely not alone about my sentiments towards the front desk staff. They are so rude and disrespectful and have NO IDEA on how to do their job. All of them are just so lost and so frustrating to deal with, you will waste hours of your day dealing with them. They say they are putting requests in for you for dermatologists and dieticians and really do NOTHING. Please please replace your front desk staff, or please get them some training on how to do their job and how to interact with other humans… I have a laundry list of examples of how I have no idea how any one of them have jobs doing what they do it’s absolutely ridiculous and super unprofessional.

We have mixed feelings about Star Kids Clinic, as the doctors have been so very kind over the years (coming over from Markham Pediatric Clinic) and the clinic has been really accommodating *when* you've been lucky enough to get a hold of them.There have been a few occasions this fall where we've needed to bring our child in to visit the office. It was tougher to get a hold of someone, where at times, and at multiple times, we were also on hold for 30+ minutes. This hasn't been uncommon.When we were able to make it into the office, they have been able to accommodate us. There is a wait time - but when isn't that the case for a doctor's appointment?We still really miss the Markham Pediatric location, office, and other staff. The additional staff really made the office what it was. I hope that over time, this location will continue to make the efforts to make the office more warm and welcoming and also continue to work on their communications with their patients. We love our daughter's pediatrician and hope that all of the kinks that need to be worked through will be resolved soon.Best of luck, as we can also only imagine how much tougher it is to deal with during the COVID-19 pandemic!

Dr. Sriskanda is simply one of the most caring doctors I’ve ever met. She is kind, professional, and genuinely cares about the health and well-being of my children. She never rushes us during our appointments and really takes the time to address all our concerns.There are a lot of people here who are writing negative reviews strictly due to the fact that they had to wait a little on the phones or that they had to wait a longer for their appointment or that they couldn’t book an appointment on the same day. I don’t know in what world in Canada you can book an appointment on the same day - it’s what urgent care and emergency is for. Also, the reality is that if you want a physician who doesn’t rush your own appointments, you have to be prepared to wait a bit because they are likely not rushing other parents as well and the world just strictly doesn’t revolve around you and you only. And with the severe shortage of doctors, it’s understandable that phone lines are busy as well and that you’d have to wait. They do have an email you can email for things like cancellation of appointments. Overall, I’ve personally had a good experience with the receptionists as well who have gone to great lengths at times to fit me in on the same day for appointments and I’m truly grateful for them as well.

In the past, I had difficulty getting through the phone line in the afternoon, so I always try to call in the morning.The front desk staff always help me promptly. If a same-day appointment is needed and our wonderful pediatrician is not available, they always try to provide the option to meet with another pediatrician in the same clinic.

I haven't encountered any rude or unkind staff from Star Kids Clinic. We mainly see Dr. Levin but all other doctor are great.Admin staff have been VERY helpful with booking, rescheduling and email correspondence. If your appointment is in person and you end up waiting, it is not always with the control of the staff members. Just pack your patience and be kind.

Disagree all you want but the reviews are true. The front staff is very difficult to deal with, confrontational at most situations. We always have to wait an hour or more to see the doctor even with an appointment scheduled weeks in advance. Our appointment was at 11AM and the clinic opened at 9AM… Not sure why we have to wait more than an hour with an infant now well past her nap time. How can you be more than an hour behind schedule? This is due to lack of time management and carelessness from the medical staff. And of course someone will reply to my review with an excuse. But guess what, when there are so many negative reviews maybe, just maybe there is a problem that needs to be addressed.

I booked my virtual appointment 8 months ago. It is now 4:30 pm and my appointment is tomorrow at 9am. I do not have the link. I called the office and was told 'oh we are cancelling your appointment- Dr. ____ is on vacation tomorrow'.pardon?if I did not call you, when were you going to call me? their office closes at 5pm??I took the day off work for this appointment. I even received an email confirmation and a text confirmation the day prior.I find this very unprofessional of the office staff and the doctor. Unfortunately, I am at the mercy of the doctor and have no choice.one very frustrated mom....

We had high regards for this medical care centre earlier. However, we are really sorry to find out that the paediatrician who is looking after my kid for last 2 year, dont even have 2 minutes to talk to us since we had an emergency and called the doctor within office hours! The only thing we wanted was just 2 minutes of her time to answer a question that we had!! Really upset to find out that being a doctor she is so busy that she does not have time to take care of a kid patient in urgent need, only 2 days after a formal appointment was made. Not recommended at all!------------------------I just saw the response from the doctor office that we strongly disagree with this comment. In any emergency

First time today at this location since my doctor moved. Horrible Covid protocols in place, the office is full and running late!They called us several times to arrive early 20 minutes for vaccines. Then we waited an hour an half. This clinic is chaotic. They asked me to take my son's clothes off, knowing the doctor had 4 patients before me. Imagine I had listened and done that?! My 15 month old without clothes for an hour and half. I saw another mother with 2 children get so upset that 2 patients were taken in before her bc the reception staff didn't see her waiting.Enough responding to comments, take action and make a change.

This office has always been good to us. My son has been seeing Dr Harshini past 6years. She is such a great doctor. Always took time to understand our problems and has had great suggestions. Having a pediatrician like her is such a relief. She has always helped us in times of need. Would definitely suggest this clinic to all.
