Avro Pet Hospital

Avro Pet Hospital is by far the best clinic I have ever attended. The staff are incredibly kind and knowledgeable and Dr. Mehr is thorough and understanding. I have a very aggressive German Shepherd who was initially very difficult to handle, but that didn't phase the staff at all. The clinic always accommodated me and were so wonderful when it came to dealing with my dog. I never felt like they judged me or provided him with sub-standard care as a result of his behavior. They are always so patient and treat him so well. They even worked with me to try and find the right solution for his aggression and were so incredibly encouraging. He's had a few health concerns as well that were handled with ease and professionalism. Thanks to their help, my dog has completely changed for the better. He absolutely loves their tech Ashley and actually let Dr. Mehr feed him treats on his last check-up. I truly don't think I would have been able to accomplish what I have without the support of this clinic. I would give 10 stars if I could!

For the annual checkup, the vet Dr. Mehr didn’t examine my dog’s teeth. Only when I asked how the teeth looked he said he wasn’t able to and made an excuse. If I hadn’t asked I wouldn’t have even known about it. They said to come in a few months again for a dental checkup. There was no follow up from the clinic. The reason I asked Dr. Mehr specifically about the dental checkup is because of a previous bad Google review I read about a client mentioning lack of dental care by the vet.The examination rooms do not seem the cleanest as well and look grungy.

Dr. Mehr has been taking care of my dog for the last 12 years, he is kind and caring. He is reliable and I trust he makes the right decision for my dog

Extremely good experience for my dogs Laparoscopic spaying. The healing process has been great so far (48 hrs post op and she is already feeling much better). The staff is very friendly and the doctor is very attentive. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking for a good veterinarian.

I went to this clinic for more than 6 years. The doctor and his staffs really care about my dog and always applied the correct treatment to my dog and avoid over treatment. My dog broke her leg badly and cannot walk. After the surgery, my dog can walk after 5 days and feel comfortable. I am highly recommend this vet.

Everything is great until it is not. For years I have been taking my dog to this clinic. My poor dog, who is only 5 and had regular cleanings and check ups, lost 27 teeth to periodontal disease because of the vet's negligence/ lack of training and knowledge. The clinic does not have an x-ray machine, which should be paramount when dealing with pets. My dog had 2 dental cleanings done here, which is equal to operating in the dark. I relied on the doctors expertise and education, big mistake...How can you treat and clean teeth if you have no idea what is going on underneath the gums!? I am completely devastated and crushed, my dog went through years of pain and a horrible 4 hour surgery only to be left with no teeth. This was completely avoidable to treatable. Worst of all the vet never took responsibility for his mistake and tried to persuade me that its all for the best and now my dog will be happy. I guess everyone should follow this advise, no teeth no problems ! Please do not take your pets here...

Dr. Ramin is incredibly friendly, knowledgable, and caring. Him and his staff do an amazing job caring for my puppy Leo!

2023: coming back to update my review. Dr. Mehr and the staff at Avro continue to provide the absolute best care for my 6 year old cat. My cat is high-needs with multiple ongoing medical issues. Dr. Mehr and team have been extremely competent, caring, and wonderful throughout. They take the time to listen to issues and provide options for care and treatment. They are always available to answer questions and provide last-minute appointments if necessary. They take the time to explain diagnostics in a way that’s easy to understand, and provide referrals to the best specialists. The entire team shows great care for my cat and I cannot recommend them highly enough.2017: Wonderful, attentive staff. They truly care about all of the animals and go above and beyond to ensure the absolute best care.

Absolute discusted with their service. Called in to get help with my 15 year old male cat and they said because of his age they can't do anything for him.Rethink your decision when coming to this vet because clearly age is a factor for them.
