Well worth the money. $25(ish)/per person. A 1 hour informative tour with some live music at the end. And you get almost two and half beers in that time. I recommend eating lunch before you go or you’ll be feeling it from the beers! There was 4 different choices to sample from. There is no area to drink from there only while on the tour. They do have an affiliated restaurant around the corner where they do serve the different kinds. A cool little bit of history on the tour. I recommend this!Reserve your spot ahead of time as it will sell out.

Nice little tour! Takes about 50 minutes and includes 2.5 beers per person (stout sample, standard IPA, plus a free choice of whatever they have on tap). I wasn’t too interested in the history, but learned a couple nice things - you will likely feel rushed if that’s your goal here. There’s a fun basement bar portion with some live music by the tour guides. This was my favourite part and the performances were really lovely - won’t spoil any specifics! We went on Keith’s birthday (October 5) so it was free! Try to do that if you can make it happen!

Was killing a late afternoon when I noticed that a couple of tour spaces had opened up on their web site so booked them. Knowing that this wasn't the location where the product we drink comes from wasn't sure what to expect. It was surely a different take on a brewery tour - indeed a lot about beer and ingredients, but with a more theatrical take - our tour guides (yes, multiple people) were also actors and actresses. Probably something for the whole family - and not only included tastes of a number of Keith's products, but also non-alcoholic as well.

The brewery tour was so great!I wasn’t sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The tour was interesting, lots of history, starts with a beer tasting! The tour ends with a “party” downstairs. It’s a cute little basement bar where you get two more tastings. They also have the staff perform some songs and instruments. What a great experience! It’s a must if visiting Halifax!

Ok so here’s the deal.. this isn’t a Brewery tour, it’s more like a History Lesson combined with a Play/Musical… and if you go into with that in mind you will give it 4 or 5 stars… but if you are a beer junkie looking to learn and be engulfed in Alexander Keith’s operation, 3 stars may be generous. This is a fun quick tour that is worth the $25 admission considering it also comes with 2.5 beers (take the tour and you’ll understand) time slots fill up fast so I’d buy ahead online if you can.The staff are friendly but are more like actors than beer experts. In my group I think 3-5 questions were asked and when off script none of the staff could answer questions like… (1) when was Alexander Keith born? (2) are the hops and barley local? (3) where does the water used to make the beer come from? All in all, it was an enjoyable sideshow

This was a fun experience, worthwhile to see the historic buildings. Would agree with others that it's less a brewery tour and more about history/culture, as the tour portion is quite short. The staff are flipping amazing though, super talented! The beer is good too.

We have been on a few brewery tours before but nothing like this! We love ths history and the fact they had live music and tastings as well. Really nice staff and got the chance to chat with other tourists as we enjoyed our drinks. Definitely recommend for your trip to Halifax!

If you’re considering, DO IT!! We had such an amazing time learning not only about the beer and Keith himself, but his history supporting Nova Scotia aswell!Vince was extremely knowledgeable and answered any questions we had with ease, and Drew has the voice of an angel! It’s so awesome to have employees who care so much about their job & the brand. Absolutely we will return next trip through! Thanks so much!

Cute little tour but very scripted. You get 2.5 drinks/samples. The music was the highlight for me at the end of the tour. Not much of brewery tour though. So that was a bit of a disappointment. It was nice that they had lemonade for children to enjoy.

First time I took this tour was 10 years ago. I was impressed how different this tour was this time around. I enjoyed it the first time around and had great time listen to live music, having few drinks and learning about history of Halifax.
