Gyu Hito Japanese BBQ Restaurant
The beef are above average and better than most acye Japanese BBQ place. Price is similar to other BBQ place. I like the fact that kids that are 4 years old and under eat for free. Empty plates are taken away promptly.

Gyu Hito Japanese BBQ Restaurant
Really good food and the service was also good. The place gets busy as the food is really good. Great selection of meats to choose from and even the seafoods are good. I liked that you could cook some of the items in a container that you put in the grill. It helps with making sure that the fish doesn't stick to the grill. Good selection of drinks as well. Would recommend this place for anyone looking for a Japanese grill.

May 2023: Wanted to celebrate our Anniversary tonight, so we came back to Gyu Hito for a nice relaxing early dinner. Ordering was easy with their app but be careful not to get carried away and over order. Ordered some of our favourites- salt peppered ribeye, marinated short ribs, umakara miso strip loin, pork belly, mango salad, plus a bunch of other meats and seafood. With a variety of salad and vegetables. The selection is huge so it will be more than one meal here to try the entire menu. The service we had was excellent, very attentive. Our main server was Navi and she made some great suggestions for combining the sauces with jalapeño & garlic. Great flavour profiles. We really enjoyed our time here. (Food, service and surroundings) our 3rd time here - did not disappoint!Feb 2023: We decided to try the bbq dinner since we had heard about it from our son. I think we over ordered since we wanted to try everything. Even though we asked our server to bring only enough for 2 when we had 4 within our party. Well at least we didn’t waste any food. Everything was very tasty but my favourite meat was the beef short ribs. What I like about the marinate was that it was not over done and you can actually taste the type of food you were eating. The service was attentive and quick. Surroundings were complementary to the overall experience.

Decided to make an impromptu visit after getting a sudden craving for tabletop BBQ. We were surprised that they had availability on such short notice (other popular places like Shinta and Gyubee were all booked up already).The space is extensive, spanning 2 levels and very open and airy, especially on the bottom level (for those of you who are familiar with this area, the space used to be a Destiny bubble tea location a while back). It's surprisingly modern in design.We sat in a large booth in the upper area, which was comfy. The only drawback is that the seating can accommodate 6 people, yet there's only one burner/BBQ. We were able to make it work, especially since we had 2 young children (and thus less food than 6 adults), but if there were 6 adults, we'd be waiting quite a bit for our food to cook! They do have good cooking vents though, the kind where it prevents the smoke and smell from rising, so your clothes and hair don't reek of BBQ food after!The menu is decent, with a good amount of variety, and pricing is competitive compared to other popular BBQ joints (~$40 per adult on weekends and ~$20 for kids on weekends). Drinks are extra, but pricing is reasonable, especially given that soft drinks have unlimited refills.Ordering was easy (via web), and service was friendly and pretty on point, checking with us regularly to change the top of the BBQ, help refill drinks, etc. They also had kids' booster seats and plates and bowls to accommodate younger children.

I like their meat options which I believe was a little more varied than grill places elsewhere. What I especially enjoyed and ordered a lot of was the Lamb Cumin. It was savoury and spiced just right for me.Service was also great. There was regular rotation along the dining areas. The servers routinely took out plates and saucers that have already been finished. We also had constant refill on the lemon infused drinking water.The service charge is also factored in into the bill. I can't recall the exact detail, but I believe the waitress mentioned that some discount can be worked in if paying by cash for the entire table (1 bill).For dessert, each diner gets a choice of one Melona flavour and as much crème brûlées you want to order. I had at least 3 or 4 crème brûlées myself.What was disappointing was some of their food servings that come in an aluminum container with foil wrapping. I have had better mushrooms elsewhere. Their butter corn was not buttery and creamy enough. It was such a letdown. They also do not have baked salmon which is available in other similar Asian grill houses.

Very dissatisfied. Half way into our time, we saw 2 cockroaches at our table. The server was very apologetic, she caught one of the 2 roaches and the other one got away. The supervisor later approached us at the table and said we can leave if we want, 10% off our bill and drinks on them (pop, and orange juice). It was like we weren't needed to be there in the first place. We had to ask to be moved to another table, it was never offered. The servers were good but the supervisor didn't care, she went as far as asking if we wanted to see the pest control report to show that they had treatment done recently hence why the roaches are out. Yes, clear that there is an infestation. We paid our bill and left. 10% off. We seriouly, were trying our best to just enjoy a special occasion, the supervisor didn't care. Been to this location couple times and have used their VIP area for special occasions and recommended friends, it was good, but this time around was not good, left a bad after taste in our memory.

Gyu Hito Japanese BBQ Restaurant
We had dinner there tonight for the first time and it was an awesome experience. The restaurant is beautiful, clean and spacious. Food quality and service was excellent. Food was ordered over an app and was simple to use and food came very quick. Menu had an array assortment and we were most impressed by the quality of meat and veggies, even the salad was great!. Love the mixed juice and yuzuhito, they were delicious!Shout out to the manager Susan who was made us feel so welcome and ensure we were happy with the food and service.We will definitely be back soon!Thank you!

Me and my friends tried lunch menu. Super good and price is cheap imo. We paid $36.50/each (tax and 12% tip included - also tip is fixed)Lunch menu has almost all the items which fit us, especially the beef short rib. Huge portion, thick cut and the meat quality was just so good.I love the salad and lettuce, tasted fresh to me on the day we went.Customer service was nice. We had Vivian served our table. She was really friendlyOverall: 5/5. I’ll be back

Gyu Hito Japanese BBQ Restaurant
Gyu Hito is a Japanese BBQ place which has two separate menus. The Regular menu and the Wagyu Menu. For this event I chose the Regular menu and I found it absolutely good. The seasoning used on the meats and seafood, was flavourful, the decoration of the place was elegant and an uptake of a BBQ place and the seating was unique. When I entered they asked if this was my first time and I said yes so they explained everything off the menu and explained the bill. They already have a service charge so the tip is already included in the bill.
