Very great atmosphere and service. The cats are well taken care of and have an excellent place to stay while waiting to be adopted. I also love the rules in place to protect the cats, it shows just how much the owner cares for them. The facility is clean, spacious, and very cat friendly!!

The lobby is bland...move to the counter where they have incredibly talented baristas. The seated area is through a set of doors to keep the area clean and save cats from running into the streets. They prefer no children under 10 years of age. It's a preventative measure to keep the cats relaxed. The cats are often adopted so usually new faces every few weeks. It's definitely worth a warm drink and spending 15 min.

I love South Paw! This cafe is a great place to come enjoy some good coffee and help socialize some kitties in need of a home. It’s amazing how many cats South Paw has found homes for in their short time of being open.Scott and his staff are great, service and food are always good.I visit here from Toronto whenever I get the chance!

I love coming here! The owner is really friendly and the food is pretty good. I come here for all my study needs and it works out great. There is ambient music which isn't loud so if you want to listen to your own just bring some headphones and turn the volume up. I plan on coming here on a regular basis.

I rate the Southpaw Cat Cafe a five because it is unique and because it serves a good cause. When you sit at a table, you see several cats sleeping or lounging about a cat friendly room. Also, you can look at a display of photographs of two or three dozen cats that have been rescued and/or adopted by new owners. When we first came through the door, it appeared cluttered and messy. My wife's immediate reaction was to observe it was dirty and that she didn't want to stay. The eating area is in a glass enclosed space accessible through double doors. In front of the doors was a messy mat surrounded by a pile of boots. The ordering area has various counters, displays, chairs, machines and other odds and ends.Once we relaxed, we saw the glassed-display was full of tasty-looking desserts. A large menu on the wall listed eight or so interesting luncheon sandwiches and wraps. The several items lying about were for cats to enjoy whether for sleeping or climbing or playing. The various items on the walls were cat related whether paintings or other artwork. In the end, we ordered sandwiches and took them through the double-doors which prevent the cats from getting out. We counted eight cats sleeping but who we learned are lively first thing in the morning and again in the early evening. We sat at a table and quite enjoyed our grilled wrap and sandwich. On our way out, we purchased a delicious square to share and enjoy.

Very comfy and welcoming atmosphere! The cat room is spacious and clean. Reasonable prices and the owner was friendly. Cats were adorable obviously (even if Odessa is a rude lady). The cafe provides a great outlet to get these cuties adopted and deserves every ounce of praise that they get.

Southpaw Cat Cafe
Cute small sized cafe with delicious food and drink options, made by talkative and welcoming staff (who obviously seem to enjoy their jobs). Friendly cats and a nice cafe area to sit and talk, while enjoying feline company! Plenty of toys and beds for the cats, and donation options for local pet shelter/safety organizations. Only downside is the tv in the cafe that is always turned up high, making it hard to hold conversations and focus/relax. Otherwise, very therapeutic atmosphere and great place for family, friends or dates!

Awesome little cafe in Kingston. Good drinks and snacks. Cats were sleeping when we were there but they have had a busy few days.

I think the cafe is a great idea but I think it's sad that children under 10 can't interact with the cats. I can't figure out what the rationale for this would be considering it's safe to assume that the child would be with a parent. I was at the cafe yesterday and was sad to watch a girl with her mom sitting on the other side of the glass, only able to look at the cats. I think allowing younger kids with their parents to visit and interact with the cats is such a wonderful opportunity for them - it teaches empathy and the love of animals.

I love it so much! Very calming for anyone who likes cats... Remember to be watching your food at all times or if you do leave it... Cover it! These cutie cats will eat your food and drink your drinks!!! You can buy cat treats and buy food and drinks. All you have to do is pay at least ( I believe) 4 dollars to get into the cat room!!!
