Capilano boat launch

First time out this year since the river went down and they opened the launch. I was very disappointed to see that the city took away valuable parking and put big rocks in the parking lot. There’s only room for 8 trucks with trailers so get there early or your parking on 50th street up the hill. There is barely enough room to turn around at the launch now that the city has put big rocks on both sides of the launch. Maybe the city should put some real effort into building functional river access possibly go look at Fort Saskatchewan or Devon’s boat launches. Is it to much to ask to have room to turn around and launch your boat without playing Austin Powers to turn around. Maybe if we used our pedal bikes to tow our boats the mayor would do something about our boat launches the bike lanes seem to get funding. For a river city we missed the boat when it comes to river access.

Close to home and one of our favorite areas to walk around / explore.

Still one of the best places to pull out the kayak. Large area near river allows around 5 tob6 people to concurrently load up canoes and double boat ramp for the motorized crew.Parking is a bit of a walk but very ample.

The boat launch is nice. But it's frustrating to show up only to find it locked. The City needs to be more diligent in posting when the launch is closed.

Very busy and lots of people with dogs running into the water very difficult to fish from shore

Right between off leash dog trails. Be careful!!

Nobody follows the signage rules, all signs say only boat trailer parking, all spots were full and there was only one boat trailer. I wish there was more monitoring of the parking situation

Best place to bring the dogs for a run in the water or the off leash area!

Great location with some improvements except for the jerk offs with out a boat trailer that think that this is a parking lot.
