Too expensive for the food they offer, honestly it doesn't have a good flavor the food was very bland I don't recommend it at all the strawberry tapioca

I ordered food for 4 people . And all of them were horrible. Beef smelled and tested like rotten I can't even describe what was test like. Horrible. Never waste your money ordering from that restaurant.

Upgraded to 5 stars!Note, I haven't dined in since the pandemic started so I can only speak from delivery experiences. I think the food here is pretty solid, tastes good, and packed very well. No issues for the several times I ordered. Prices are higher if you order via UberEats even with the 30% off promo so definitely order from the restaurant's website instead. It's an easy-to-use interface that many other restaurants lack. Plus, you're better supporting the restaurant without the BS service fees from services like UberEats. Lastly, delivery drivers have so far been timely too.All in all, Moon Congee North York has proven to be a very reliable source of Chinese food if you live in the Downsview area.

I agree with most of the reviews here. Although the portion sizes seemed decent, the meat dishes are made up of 10% meat and 90% onions/veg. Prices were significantly higher than other chinese takeouts in the area as well. Quite disappointing, unless you're looking for a meal of onions and rice.

I've had my fair share of Chinese food. This place is definitely one of the best in North York. It's comparable to the more fancy Chinese restaurants in Richmond Hill, Scarborough, and Markham. Don't be fooled by the lack of space and the fact that most ppl order takeout/delivery. This place sells LEGIT chinese food, not the oily msg filled food u find at other places. They do need to invest in some Chinese cutleries, instead of giving dine-ins Styrofoam cups/plates. This is understandable given the location and the fact that they just started.

We used to order from Moon Congee a lot through Skip The Dishes and we were mostly satisfied - standard Chinese food, nothing special but it'll do in a pinch. However, this changed when we found a massive cockroach in our noodles. We swiftly reported this to the Skip team and they refunded our order, but this is definitely not an experience I would wish on anyone...especially when you are about five bites into your food before discovering an uninvited guest. Based on some other recent reviews, this is not a one-time event.I know restaurants have been struggling during the pandemic and I hate leaving negative reviews if it can be avoided, but I can't give this a pass. They seriously need to invest in proper pest control and sanitation before they seriously make someone ill.

Ordered foods couple times. They do have an issue with their food. Last time, I ordered a soup, and it tasted very strong dish detergent. Today, ordered a soup again, and I found a piece of steel wool and pieces of ingredient from other food. Come on, is it that difficult to rinse your pot thoroughly?Their drink is okay though, I'll never order foods from here.

Ordered take out, I was excited, but ended up slightly disappointed. We ordered three different combos, rice portions are big, which is great, but the dish part is small and it’s like 70% onions (and vegetables, depending on the dish) Beef with black pepper and mushrooms was plain, not salty and felt like it doesn’t have any flavor, and it had a lot of onion and pepper and very little beef. Lemon chicken batter was so hard and crispy (in a bad way), I hurt my gums. General Tao’ chicken was more or less okay, but also small serving and a lot of onions. I didn’t enjoy this experience.I liked the spring rolls though, they became softer (the batter) the next morning and I had them for breakfast.

This place is overpriced for the quality of food. You can get the same quality of food at the prepared section of a local Chinese market for a fraction of the price. I’ve included a picture of the $18 “beef” with ginger and onion. I think there were maybe ten slices of beef. It’s mostly onion. Very disappointed and will not be ordering again.

I got milk tea and it was not tasty. It was like water and price is as much as other milk tea places. I just throw it. You guys should improve your drinks.
