I had the best experience with Ian Ross. I was looking for someone to build not only a screened porch - but a catio. A special area for cats to explore outside. I also wanted the area to be bug free for me and a special dog potty as well. He did a fantastic job. The work was done to a level of quality and I'm confident it will be here for such a long time. He was very professional, polite, and dependable. My cat Frank is also very happy with his work. I would use Inspirational Wood Works again!!

We highly recommend Inspirational Wood Works for anything from a special personalized piece to any of your home renovation dreams. Ian completed an amazing basement renovation for us...new flooring with underlay, custom barnboard feature wall, linear fireplace coupled with custom cupboards including barnboard shelving, sewing/craft area , and a half bath with a beautiful tile wall. Ian's calm and creative problem solving skills were really appreciated when the fireplace installers messed up, so the custom cabinets were not going to fit...He took down a small closet wall, moved plumbing then rebuilt the wall to the correct dimensions and in the end you could never tell there was an issue. We especially appreciated Ian's attention to our input - When we were around the house, he would every now and again double-check that he was meeting our expectations. When we were not home, he would sometimes send photos and ask for our opinion before he continued. Meanwhile, he was very cognisant of meeting deadlines. We re-hired Ian to complete a master bath renovation, and he knocked it out of the ballpark again!!

This is someone you can trust 10000% right from the beginning of quoting, to the finish product, you know you can trust him with fair pricing, but also with quality of workmanship to the fine details and getting your work done on time. We were lucky enough to find Ian Ross and Inspirational Wood Works when we had a pipe burst which caused extensive damage. Our home is almost 200 years old, and it was important to us to have someone do the rebuild who was detail-oriented and respected the history. We also wanted someone we could trust to help us through the process and make it as easy on us as possible. Ian came through in all these ways and more. He was always professional, offered his honest opinions but was open to ours, and was very easy to work with. We’re thrilled with the results, and have since had Ian do a few more jobs at our home and will continue to reach out to Ian whenever we need any contracting work in the future.

Ian has been a reliable and professional contractor I've used for approximately 10 years to install hardwood floors, gut and redo a kitchen, remodel a powder room including new ceramic tiles and lay new flooring in the basement. He has also used his skills in fixing fences, installing crown moulding, and finding professionals to meet needs not necessarily in his area of expertise, all while overseeing the job and lending his own opinion on what is best for his client. His ideas are helpful before and during a job and his attention to details is reassuring. Prices are very reasonable. I can confidently give Ian a 5/5 star rating and highly recommend his services.

I am very pleased to provide a reference about the kind of work that Ian Ross of Inspirational Woodworks does and about how he does that work.I met Ian in 2016 and he did a variety of interior carpentry projects for me . In particular, he did an amazing surround of the fireplace in the main living room that also included matching China cupboards on each side.We continued to use Ian‘s services in that house for four years and then, when I moved to a nearby community on waterfront, I immediately called Ian to handle the work that I needed to have done in my new home.Ian did a wonderful job on everything that I needed which included the installation of closets, the creation of a bedroom, a new stairway and creative half Dutch door and many other things.I have found Ian to be highly skilled, honest in his estimates, very fair, very quick to do the work and he is as honest as the day is long.I encourage everyone to use Ian’s services. I have a number of items constructed by Ian Ross from when he first got started. Kitchen able and bench made from scratch. Both are sturdy and other than wear and tear over 14 years they still look beautiful. Ian stands by his work and has diversified into creating amazing living spaces of high quality work.
