The bike mechanic was really friendly but he didn't have the specific bike parts I was looking for

I have always purchased all my bikes and ski equipment at the Duke of Windsor for my family over the years. Their personal care with customers is very attentive and the quality of bikes and ski gear always ranks extremely high. A great local business.

Super Friendly, Very Knowledgable, and Reasonably Priced. went in to get some repairs done on my bike and it came out better than expected with some tweaks I wasn't expecting at all. will definitely be coming back for parts when the time comes.

Great service ... had a flat and destroyed tire 10 kilometers away and guess what ? One of the employees came out , picked me ,my bike up and back to the shop for repair .. on the road 30 minutes later and they charged me just for the tire ... who does that ? Thanks Frank Theriault

Went by today to get help with my front brakes on my bike and Ryan was super great! Fixed the issue and even took the time to show me how to make the adjustments myself in the future. I will definitely be back to get a few additional must haves so that I am 100% setup for the road. Thanks for a great experience and see you soon! 10/10 recommend!

Great Service, Great Experience! Got my bike just over a month ago, when I went back for my tune up they were more then accommodating. They fine tuned my gears and offered great advice. I've been there multiple times and only had good experiences.

Every once I a while a person is able to find one of those local stores which have endured hardships time and again. The Duke is one of those places...from big box stores, culture shifts in city dynamics, to COVID 19, this little ski and bike shop has stood the test of time. I went in to the store looking for some downhill ski equipment, in a matter of minutes, the technician working had me suited up in proper boots, suitable bindings and provided a boatload of knowledge and advice on the sport. This store carries a wide assortment of ski and bike equipment, coupled with sound knowledge and technical skills. The prices are comparable to what I found on the net, so why not shop local.... Definitely worth a look if you're in Sault Ste. Marie.

Excellent service experience, good quality items, they really work with you to try to get you set up with what you need/want. I bought skis, bindings, boots and gloves here, the prices were competitive and better than online retailers. The owner can modify boots after-the-fact if you have pinch points or hotspots later, too (known as boot fitting, or being a boot fitter). The prices seem to be on-par with Sportchek, which has decent prices on ski stuff, and some items are discounted (On a few things I've bought I got surprise discounts that werent listed on-sticker, common with smaller retailers). The only time sportchek has better prices is when they have holiday sales and stuff, but these guys stand by their products and are more knowledgeable.I'd recommend though, before you go in, to have an idea of what you want or are looking for. They carry Salomon and Rossignol boots, a selection of skis from K2, Elan, Rossignol, salomon, etc. (They obviously have more but I was only interested in ski stuff). I'd also look up videos on how to properly size boots, just to make sure you know what to look for when going for a fittting. You should also look into what type of skiing you want to do so you know what style to look for (Twin tip vs downhill-only for example)I only had one issue, which was probably at least partially my own fault, where the boots I got were too big (Got 27.5 for 9.5 size foot, shouldve gotten 26.5) but they were great about rectifying the issue. They let me return the old boot (minus a very reasonable restocking fee) and get a new one. I was expecting to have to eat the cost of the boot due to the boot being used and nicked in some spots from my skis, but they were great about making sure I felt like I was valued as a customer and went that extra mile for me.I definitely feel better buying from these guys than buying from sportchek even when sportchek has their sales, cause I know that these guys stand by what they sell and are passionate about skiing!
