My 12 year old son and I have been taking private dance lessons with Aleksander for almost 5 months and are so thrilled with the experience. We are preparing for a very special event and wanted to surprise our guests with a personal and memorable dance from the two of us. Aleksander is patient, talented and professional! He was willing to take our music which ranges from modern rap to classic rock and choreograph traditional dance steps for us to learn. I highly recommend this school for anyone new to dance or who dance competitively! They are conveniently located in Glencoe, accessible to anyone in the North Shore or beyond. Have fun!

The Northshore Dance Society in Glencoe is fantastic! The owners are outstanding dancers and teachers. In particular, Aleksandar is a very knowledgeable dancer and a very kind teacher. I began dancing after my foot surgery over a year ago; he was attentive and supportive and made sure I was progressing at a proper pace and in the most favorable conditions. He tailors my lessons according to my abilities and needs. That’s what makes these lessons very enjoyable, and fulfilling, and makes me want to put my best effort into dancing. Aleksandar is professional, passionate about dance and teaching, and supportive. There is no pressure to participate in competitions or shows. In this studio dominates the ambiance of learning in a positive and friendly environment.

Lessons are fun yet challenging. My husband has no prior dance experience but I am a former dancer - both of us are having fun, learning so much and getting better every lesson! Aleks is an excellent teacher and I would highly recommend North Shore Dance Society lessons to anyone!

My fiancé and I started classes a few weeks ago to learn our first dance for our wedding and we’ve enjoyed every second. Aleks is a phenomenal dancer, very passionate about his work, and an incredible teacher. He choreographed the dance to play to both of our strengths as I have more formal training than my partner with a mix of rumba and bachata. We highly recommend Alek for all skill levels, ages, and occasions but especially if you need to learn a bomb first dance!

I love this studio so much. The owners are like family to me and the floor in the studio is the best quality ever. I would definitely not be where I am in dance and my progression in my dancing without Aleks and Peter. They are the best of the Midwest!

While I was recovering and unable to dance, she always wanted to know how I was managing my recovery. When I returned, bringing a cane just in case I became tired, she and the rest of the class welcomed and encouraged me.They are not just about dance lessons. Their attitude towards each of the students and how they interact with everyone is also part the class. Aleks is an extremely talented instructor. He is very easy to work with and makes you feel instantly as ease with whatever your level of experience may be. We are working with him for our first dance as a married couple and it has been an absolute pleasure. We would highly recommend to anyone :)

I have been taking private lessons with Olga for a while, and I am so grateful to have her as my first dance teacher. Olga is absolutely professional about dancing, and you can never go wrong with her. She’s super patient, easy going, and her class is always full of fun with great learning experiences. Olga taught me more than I expected. It really opened my eyes to how many things I can learn from dancing beside the steps. I like her positive attitude and enjoy all the laughs we made during class.
