Window Medics Ottawa window repair

Just had a window glass replaced. The installation went smoothly and the technician did the work in a professional manner. He informed me of the 5-year warranty that comes with the replacement and told me what issues to keep an eye for. He also offered advices on the maintenance of windows. So far I am very happy with this installation.

I have used Window Medics for a number of window repairs over the years and they are my go-to before anyone else. Professional, courteous, very reasonably priced and do a great job. They also go out of their way to suggest cost effective options before recommending a major replacement / repair which is much appreciated.

We had the windows replaced at our cottage. They did a professional job. Installer was great for communication. Completed on time with great installation. Cleaned up during installation.Sometimes installer is double booked by office resulting in minor delay as Ottawa and the Valley is a large region.I have referred them to others and would do again.

This is the most ridiculous company and frustrating experience I've ever had. I had a simple window crank problem which made it so a bedroom window couldn't be opened. These cranks themselves cost $8-10 on home depot or amazon. They quoted me $260 for this simple fix. I was told by a tech Elijah that it would take 2 weeks from the time I paid the deposit to fix the part. I chose this company because they said on the day I was calling around of their estimated fix date, whereas another company could have fixed it same day but was $10 more. Wrong decision.After paying my deposit, it was over a month until an appointment could be booked. After 3 weeks past, I fixed it myself because we needed air in our house and a promise wasn't fulfilled. After chasing numerous times with customer service reps, techs, etc. who couldn't offer any help, I was told there is a no refund policy because parts had been ordered." Are you serious? It's a $10 part. So I lose half of my deposit and waste all of this time. It's a matter of principle because I keep getting a "no refund policy" answer. I'm here to tell you - avoid this company at all costs because:-They promise completely unrealistic timelines to secure a job-Customer service reps just say "they can't do anything" - what is the point of your job?-Take your deposit for a huge cost for a simple job and don't answer when you chase themThis is not worth my time to write this review for $130 but it's more the matter of principle and how frustrating this experience has been and how it was handled that makes no sense and is dishonest."

Update: My front door window is repaired and the other has been defogged! Nasir was professional, friendly, and completed the job quickly. He also cleaned up afterwards. I'm glad he was able to fit me into his schedule.Can’t wait to see the results after Window Medics replaces a broken window at my office and Defogs one of the windows as well.Part One:Elijah was very responsive to my inquiry of services and he was able to drop by the same day to observe the jobs. He was able to tell me the exact price on the spot for the services.In the same day I received my invoice and I provided a 50% deposit to Window Medics. With the deposit, they let me know my window replacement would be ordered and it would take approximately 3 weeks to arrive. They would complete both the replacement and defogging at the same time. This was on September 8, 2022.I understand that Window Medics is very busy so I have been the one having to follow up. When I do communicate with Nasir who is assigned to complete the jobs he has been friendly and informative.Patiently waiting for the job to be scheduled and completed. Last updated was that my window replacement was going to arrive November 25, 2022.I’m a new business owner so this is an exciting time but I am also nervous about who I can trust. Happy to see so many positive reviews from Window Medics.This is my experience so far. Stay tuned for my second review when they have completed the job.

Update: window has been replaced and looks great. Nasir was so courteous and knowledgeable; overall excellent.—————I paid my 50% deposit on February 21, 2023 and was assured that it would take 4-6 for the window to arrive and subsequent installation would take 20 minutes.It has now been over 10 weeks and I have not had confirmation that my window has arrived or when it will even be installed.Communication is one sided where I must reach out when Window Medics misses a deadline with a consistent “delay” rationale and “this has been expedited” response.I would be happy to update my review if my window ever gets installed.

I had to replace old storm windows with thermal ones covering large stained glass windows. Great work done by Nasir. I highly recommend him for your renovation work. We experienced a slight delay from the window factory due to priority storm damage repair in Ottawa. Nasir was ready to instal them the day after the windows arrived. The work was challenging and done efficiently. Two almost 8' by 26 window inserts. Very pleased with the job."

I called Window Medics to replace a broken window in September 2021. I got the invoice for services on September 30. By October 17, I still hadn't heard from them about when installation was happening. Windows finally got installed after some time.On March 13, 2022, I sent a photo to the technician. These windows had *far* more condensation on the inside of the house than any of our other windows. They didn't insulate against cold as well as the previous windows did. They finally answered on March 30 to say they'd come and add some silicon to the outside. They never came.I followed up in October 2021 and heard nothing. I followed up again in December 2021 and heard nothing. I contacted customer service a few times over the next year and heard nothing. In December 2022, I spoke to someone who said, We'll come do silicon

Nasir replaced two windows for us and did a great job. He was very professional as well as efficient. He cleaned up after and took all his mess along with the broken windows with him.He was a very friendly and easy to converse with and he got along well with our dogs.I definitely recommend Nasir and will be sure to share the company with my friends.

This company has horrible customer service, hands down. Multiple times I thought it was an outright scam as they ignored my queries.They arrived quickly to give me a quote to replace the glass in a single window and get a deposit (less than 24 hours from my call) and said the work will be done in 4-6 weeks. After they had the money though, confusion reigned. False promises and lack of communication were the norm. Finally, after months of follow ups, the work was done 12 weeks after deposit. The work itself and the quality was good (Kudos to Nasir), but avoid this company at all costs if you care for your mental health.
