Banks and Braes

Loved our stay at Banks and Brae! The house is beautiful, the rooms are so comfortable and you can tell a lot of love and care was put into all the decor. I'd highly recommend coming for a show at the rosebud opera house and treating yourself to a night here!

The couple that run Banks and Braes are friendly and inviting and have very clearly put a lot of effort into making it a memorable experience. The details from floor to ceiling to furniture are awesome. For my first ever visit to Rosebud with my sister and niece, this was definitely a delightful experience and I would love to come stay here again. The beds are also very comfortable and I've never slept so well before when I'm away from home. Five stars all the way!

Banks and BraesWe were warmly welcomed by a gracious couple on the marble steps of an amazing home.  This new home was magical!  I felt like the calendar had been turned back a hundred years and that I was transported back to Norway multiple times during our stay.  Rosebud seemed to shut down that evening and we felt like we were the only ones for miles.  It was so peaceful and quiet.  Upon arriving, we found out that the host could book a massage too.  My ranching injuries periodically need a good working over.  Cory gave me one of the best full body massages that I have ever had.  He kept me very relaxed and monitored me throughout the whole time.  Then it was into the super comfortable king sized bed, which was like a cherry on top for me.  The next morning when I descended the stairs I again felt like transported back to Norway!  We were served a beautiful relaxed breakfast on fine china in the dining room

Overnight trip with my 80 year old mother. Owners super friendly and the rooms are beautiful. If I took mom again I'd book a room with a day bed because my short mom had trouble getting into the bed, even with the stool the owner arranged.

I did not stay there, I am staying at a close-by air bnb, and all the convenience stores were closed. I was desperate for feminine products so I approached this place hoping they could sell me some. They said “we don’t sell them but I’m pretty sure we can get you some” and kindly handed me a box and some extras. I plan to go stay there on our next visit, VERY KIND PEOPLE, and the place looked very clean, cozy and delightful.

We didn’t stay here, but nearby. We had the unfortunate surprise visit from Aunt Flo and without anything around for miles, we were quite panicked. Took a chance and ran in to ask if they could help us out. Their graciousness, understanding and compassion cannot be matched. They helped us without question and made sure we’d be ok until we can get to a pharmacy tomorrow. Next time we come back we’ll definitely be booking a stay here.

Enjoyed a wonderful 2-night getaway, including our 3 kids. Their bedrooms (which were somewhat connected) were so well set up for us, including books to read! Great hosts and beautiful home!

Just stayed as a thing to do on the long weekend... Loved it here. Beautiful house and rooms. The combination of an old style house by the new construction is very well done.Close to the theatre. Breakfast was great in the morning. Hosts were very gracious and helpful in finding a restaurant for dinner. Didn't get to play any of the board games this time but there are tons.Really looking forward to a Murder dinner mystery!If you are from Calgary, come out for a night or two. Totally worth it.If you're from further, spend a week with this as home base.
