The Hive Studio + Espresso Bar

What a fun place! I was so excited to check this spot out and was also happy to see they have a cafe inside as well with lots of drinks and snacks to pick from. So much to choose from on the shelves and the staff is ready and waiting to assist and give tips and instructions so you get the most out of your visit. I can't wait to see the end result from my painting project which should be ready in a week (two weeks for stoneware). They also offer paint kits to take home and it sounds like they may be looking to work with local potters for paintable creations!

I love, love LOVE this place.I literally come here once a week to bask in the relaxing atmosphere as I create another awesome pottery piece... enjoy one of their amazing beverages or just chatting with the amazing staff.

I don’t know where to start! The staff were so freaking sweet and kind to my friend and I - they were very generous to us and accommodating, even though we had to stay a little after close. Everything was extremely well stocked up, easy to identify and use, and it was an extremely clean place!! Not to mention that the drinks were fantastic :) this will definitely not be my last time here! Highly reccomend!!

Had a great time painting. Perfect set up for beginners, and lots of items to choose from. Staff were friendly and helpful with questions. Can’t wait to pick up my turtle!

This was the first time I’ve came to this location . I totally understand being busy but our table wasn’t set up when we got there, very slim selection. I was looking for just a basic mug and had very few offered that didn’t have some sort of writing on it . there were no brushes to use until over half way through our visit. Asked for water for brushes and had to ask for it twice, it took almost 40 minutes. No one had checked on our table until 2 hours into being there. Overall, I recommend for sure calling before hand, not bring any type of drink in hand they will tell you to throw it away and make sure to give yourself a lot of time . I will try again in the future but was for sure a bit disappointing.

Nestled deep within an unsuspecting Dartmouth stripmall is the cutest little pottery painting studio. If you've ever gone to Clay Café you'll enjoy this place. Plus, they have an actual cafe, and the Christmas lattes were gas. Great spot to have a nice afternoon or evening.

I can't say enough good things about this place. I am here way too often because I love it so much. The atmosphere is great, the staff are so helpful, kind, and accommodating, the owners are awesome, and everything is always clean and well stocked. I'm on a first name basis with most of the staff because I'm there so often. It's become my happy place these past few months.If you haven't been here before it's a must try! It's fun, and something people from all age groups can love.Thank you to the owners and staff for being so awesome.

Really enjoyed spending a few hours here with my friends, it was busy but still a fairly relaxing evening. The coconut latte i had was delicious, staff was friendly and helpful. We went the day before they restocked their shelves so they didn't have a huge selection of items but we all found something we liked to paint. The only thing I wish is if they had an option to book for a group of less than 6, even if a deposit to hold the table was required as it's taken us a few tries over a couple months of driving into the city to actually get a spot :) But overall very happy with my experience and looking forward to seeing my project all done once it's fired in the kiln. Some items were expensive but there was definitely something for every budget, and i'm sure even more options when they're fully stocked. I'm sure we'll be returning!

Friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. A great non-alcoholic option for a date or solo outing. They serve coffee and a small selection of treats that you can indulge in while you work on your pieces.

We paid for our three items, roughly $90 dollars at 12:47 and were told we’d have an hour wait. We waited 1.5 hours and left. It’s been now 3 hours. They still haven’t contacted us letting us know a table is ready…. Glad we went home!
