Every time I'm in Victoria I load up on sockeye and halibut, halibut burgers, and smoked candied salmon from Better Seafood Supply. Takes care of all my seafood needs and I feel great knowing I can choose from responsibly harvested seafood carefully packed by a small scale local processor. I have always had this option because the people behind BSS are the same people (my parents!) who raised me on a fishboat in northern BC 40 years ago while they were fishing salmon, halibut and crab. Now everyone in Greater Victoria can get the same supply of perfect fresh and smoked fish from West Coast fishermen, but all you have do to is click a few buttons to order exactly what you want online. I had to clean a lot of fish as a kid for this privilege!
