H&R Block

I was very unsatisfied. I’ve been seeing Bita for many years and this time around she was a completely different person. Our charges were extremely high and I understand that it’s due to my business but still higher than my friends with businesses too. She’s at a new place now and seems money hungry. She looked unhappy and distressed. Without any small talk or the friendliness we were accustomed to for that past 15 years at least. We will not be returning to you or to see her in the future. This was a negative experience on many levels. She scolded me about not adding the numbers yet at the end she told me there wasn’t any more to add to make it a bigger return. This contradiction alone got me very hurt and upset with her demeanour. It was uncalled for to speak to me as she did. We trusted her for so many years and recently she answered the phone as if she didn’t know me and I let it go. Then came in last week and still felt something again that was negative and dry from her. Yesterday topped it off by the way she continued to speak to me as a child who didn’t do her homework as she asked of me. Little did she know if she had asked how I’m doing for starter she’d know I’m very sick and that’s why I needed her to help me. Instead I got more of an emotional beating. Cried all the way home with also a hefty charge of $550. For a return of $37 for my business. Yes she got my husband more but nothing as I was expecting. Had my husband not asked the right questions to her she wouldn’t have helped us by telling us those things herself.Friends are now asking me if she added this or that and I said no. They’re surprised of all the things she should have asked about and didn’t.This was the worst experience with Bita. I would never have thought she would treat us this badly. We followed her to several places as well. Without a thank you this time around. We went to see her from maple ridge to Coquitlam. I think we’ll be seeing others closer to us from now on. So disappointing

I have been with Shannon for over 10 years and she is a US tax expert. Even after not needing US tax reports, I have still been helped by Shannon for so many years. She is very knowledgeable, fast and efficient.

I would advise against using H&R Block for your tax return needs. They failed to complete my submission because they neglected to follow up with me about a notification from CRA requesting that I resubmit my ID. As a result, my process remained incomplete for an entire year. When I contacted them to correct the situation, I had to redo everything a year later. However, what really frustrated me was their unwelcoming attitude and reluctance to answer simple questions or provide guidance. Miss Bita Golestani, who was responsible for my work, consistently replied with it's not my responsibility

Horrible experience will no longer be going to H&R block to do my taxes. When I explain my crypto tax situation and asked for advice I felt very unwelcomed and embarrassed coming in when explaining it to the rep due to all the Sigh" expressions she was giving me. After the 20mins she told me they'll charged about 2

I dropped off 2 years of taxes fairly simple with T4s with a small side business purchased with only 4 months of the last year being self employed! So very little to write off and calculate. She even had me add up totals for everything to save me money. I left my paperwork almost 2 weeks ago! First week I emailed twice got no response, now she’s been responding since I emailed a third time this week but confused, then consulting with a colleague, then try to charge me almost $600???? I don’t think so , getting my stuff back and never looking to H&R block again!! So disappointed expected more professionalism and better level of service

My taxes were filed incorrectly by Master Tax Advisor, Bita Golestani, and in a way that will significantly affect my taxes next year given personal circumstances. While I tried calling in to resolve the issue, it was brushed off as mistakes happen" and I'm still on the hook to fix their mess either way. Never coming back."

I've had my tax returns done there for the last 7 years.I'm very satisfied with the service I receive.

I had a great experience, I was taken right in and was told what was going on in each step, She was efficient, polite, and she took really good care of me.

H&R block takes it upon themselves to switch your direct deposit info to their bank instead of yours. Any tax credits I’ve received from CRA go on this dinky card they gave me for a instant refund years ago. I’ve since lost the card and changed direct deposit info back to my bank ( I never asked or wanted payments going to their bank, they just do this automatically) but I’m out a few hundred bucks floating around in DCbank.ca cyber space. They don’t even have open locations to get help with this problem. Go see real accountants that don’t change your direct deposit info with the CRA to their bank.
