I just visited to see the place and had an ice cream cone. Which was great. Beautiful place. I would like to stay and or come to dinner one day.

Loved the ice cream and enjoyed the well-kept grounds surrounding the hotel. Hotel is not open to the public and did not eat at the restaurant.

First visit since the pandemic. It was different from my last visit, and not in a good way.The food was still top-notch, and service from our waitress was also great, but the initial greeting from staff at the front desk bordered on hostile. Pre-pandemic, you could just wander in and continue on to the pub and sit where you like. This visit, we were rudely asked can I help you?" (by the manager maybe?) as we drifted towards the pub

Beautiful lunch on the patio, lovely unobtrusive service. Excellent food, calamari,w/peashoot salad, chicken picata w/ roast veggies, lobster rolls with chips. Lovely flour less chocolate cake, not too sweet with superb raspberry coul7s.

We were staying close by at one of the cottages and decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Opinicon Resort.It is a beautiful facility and service was great . The food was less desirable. I ordered the rotisserie chicken , thinking it would be roasted on outside like Swiss chalet or St. Hubert’s .When brought to table it was white looked like it was boiled. You could see the skin of chicken like it was raw. I managed to take the skin off and eat the chicken which was good but missed the crispy rotisserie Color. Mashed potatoes where good but green peas were looking frozen dehydrated.My husband had the fish and chips not bad at all. The fish cakes we ordered for app came after our mains were served and you could not dip them in sauce they crumbled to pieces.I had high expectations for this beautiful place but food was a downer.Hopefully the chef gets better during summer and they get a menu with more selections .Maybe go to the pub they have perhaps it is better.

Wow! Searched to find the place my wife and I went to on our honeymoon in 1984. Wow again…. This was a special place that I still remember. Great food, rustic accommodations and wonderful black squirrels to feed..Will return.

This place is a true gem. The dining room is pristine and absolutely beautiful. We brought our friends from Australia, and they were also very impressed, with the whole experience. The food was fantastic….. we will all be back! The ice cream shop will be a regular stop for us when we are out for our country drives. Thanks for the lovely evening!
