Barry the owner is friendly, honest and helpful. He genuinely works towards both responding to inquiries and completing the repairs promptly. He has never suggested any unnecessary repairs to me. Prices are reasonable. The waiting room is comfortable while the shop floor is uncluttered.

I stumbled across this diamond in the rough auto shop a little over two years ago.If I could,and I believe many more that have reviewed on this site ,would give Barry a ten star rating for his honesty ,integrity and professional standards he and his team perform to.This is the only mechanic my two cars will ever visit.Barry and LuckyEight,thank you very for the amazing job you and your do every day!

I came today to have my back brakes done . They’re working on my vehicle as I write this review.I’ve been sitting in waiting area here. Very relaxed atmosphere, nice and cool in here .I’ve been listening to Barrie , with some of his customers here , wow. This place offers amazing service. Barry is very clear and knowledgeable. Super front end man.He has worked with me totally over the last couple of days. I had some misfortune in my family , Barry was the easiest and most understanding.I would recommend this shop to anyone who wants great service. Honest service and knowledge in detail. Recently moved to the area and was looking for a trusty auto repair shop. The shop owner Barry is very professional. My car had few issues, I called the day before, with no hesitation he agreed to look at my car and got it fixed in no time the following day. Clean shop, over the top customer service, prices are extremely fair. I have to mention the waiting room has a big screen TV for movies, and also an Arcade game machine with over 1000 games for customers to enjoy while waiting and also refreshments. Well deserved 5 stars. Will definitely go back if needed and will definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Hands down the best service! Friendly, honest, trustworthy, and efficient. I've had tires done here, oil changes, break replacements, and I am always happy with the work they do. Barry and his team are extremely knowledgeable, and always make sure they show you exactly the work and any part replacements that are being done on your vehicle. Barry warranted his work, and from experience, I can say they held up their side for sure! Don't bother with other mechanics that will screw you over with fine prints and empty promisses, go to Lucky8 and experience the difference for yourself! Thank you for the great work!

I took my vehicle (Mercedes ML350 W164 OM642 Turbo Diesel) to Lucky8 due to a whining noise while the vehicle is under load, between 1700-2200 RPM. I've done diagnosis at home but couldn't figure out the root cause, it can only be reproduced while driving!Barry and team performed diagnosis and preliminarily concluded it's likely due to a faulty turbo (bearings, turbine), which makes sense to me, and explains the symptoms. Barry and team suggested to take it to the dealer first since the vehicle was recently serviced at the dealer for the Bluetec Settlement recall, and the turbo was taken out during that recall service - I've booked the dealer and will see if it's still under warranty.Barry was very honest and transparent with the rough estimate of getting it fixed/replaced. Unfortunately, I like this diesel engine very much and will likely get it fixed.Very much appreciated Barry and team's professionalism and honesty.

This is probably the best shop in Richmond Hill, and I say this having driven here from Barrie. If you value Honesty, professionalism and experience this is the best spot to take your car. The lucky 8 team has always been trustworthy and even taken extra steps to ensure my car is safe.

Started coming to this shop many years ago with an older vehicle. Recently had AC issues on my new car.I called my local dealership and they gave me a quote on the work without any further information.I thought I’d get a second opinion and Barry did a quick inspection at no cost and told us to see if there’s a warranty.I did a quick browse online and found that there’s an extended manufacturer’s warranty for the work identified which the dealership did NOT mention at all in the 3x that I called them until today.This is not the first time he’s helped out at no cost. Although he may be a bit pricey, relatively speaking, I can vouch for the quality of his work.
