Discounter's Pool and Spa Warehouse

They don't stand behind their products or take any responsibility for defects. We have been a regular customer of discounters. Last year we purchased a pool vacuum towards the end of the season. The first time we use it this year the part that attaches to the pool snapped off while vacuuming. I took it back as it was clearly defective and I was told returns have to be within 14 days. I said I am not returning it because I don't want it, I am returning it because it is defective. I said shouldn't these last at least one season? They agreed they should but that they are not responsible for defective products. The most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Needless to say they have lost another regular customer and I am actively sharing my experience with out pool and spa owners in the area.

Went to discount pools Kitchener on a Sunday morning with pump problems. They were able to help in no time at all. Very awesome place to get advice and help with our pool. This place is the best!

Purchased a solar blanket online for end of season discount. Received a call and follow up emails from their customer service" informing me they had no stock of the product at the advertised store available for pick up. Offered that I could pick up in either Mississauga or Scarborough and would not ship from these locations to the store in my area. False advertising followed up by no effort to rectify their errors. I won't be buying any pool supplies or equipment from this company again.Update - DPSW customer service management team reviewed this situation and provided a satisfactory solution by offering an equivalent product for a similar discount. I was happy with this outcome and glad DPSW did the right thing."

Customer Service is fantastic! There was a superb end of year sale and the specific pool cover I needed wasn't available through my local store or ordering online. Carolyn P to the rescue.....reached out directly to me, organized to have one that was in stock at another store (that was too far away for me to drive to) shipped to me, with the same free shipping deal available online, and constant communication on the progress through to delivery. Can't beat that service!

They used to be good now they only let you test your water once a month. You can't even pay to have a test done to see what you need. So they basically lost out in hundreds of dollars of purchases to save a buck. Been going there for years but after the nickel and diming I'm going to have to find another pool place.

Hi, disappointed in the customer service early in this pool season. On a recent trip to the store (a Friday) I was told the water testing equipment was down. I left my sample and told I would be contacted with my results. I did not hear from the store. I placed a follow up call and was disappointed with the lack of service as i was dismissed by the first store representative saying the test likely went to my junk mail. Call the store back the second employee was worse than the first when i explained my situation and commented that I was not happy with the customer service after shopping in the store and spending money over the last 7 pool seasons. the customer service rep's comment was that they didnt care how much money i had spent...off to find a new pool store

We recently visited the discounters in Kitchener to get a new pool heater and we were helped by Patricia. She openly gave her knowledge on what size of pool heater we needed based on the size of our pool. We ended up purchasing a heater from Patricia, and although it was close to their closing time, she ended up staying past the closing time so that my father in law could pick up the heater in his truck (it wouldn't fit in our SUV) as we lived out of town. Patricia, your kind and customer service oriented demeanour did not go unnoticed and we appreciated all of your help! Discounters, you have a great employee who is not only knowledgeable and goes above and beyond, but is also very personable. Thanks again!

Showed up tonight 5mins to closing after driving 30mins through rush hour traffic to get a water test and I was told NO, I am too late! Wow, where is the customer service? There was 5 staff members and plenty of time to do a water test before closing. There is no excuse when a customer is in your store during opening hours that you do not provide service - this customer service 101. I will never use Discounter's Pool and Spa services again. I am strongly advising people who are reading this to take your business elsewhere. Look at all the 1 star and poor reviews of this place. There are many other pool companies in the K-W Region with much better ratings and way better customer service. To the owner of this store, I would advise to have a serious talk to your employees about looking after your customers - you are getting too many poor reviews and losing business.

Terrible. Sold me a liquid chlorine punch card when they don't even sell liquid chlorine anymore. Wouldn't offer a refund. There goes $50. Then tried to get me to buy powdered chlorine after they literally just scammed me.

Amazing customer service! Ordered a pool float that ended up having a defect and leaked air. Contacted customer service and Carolyn had a new one sent to me within a day or two. Couldn’t ask for better service! New one arrived and seems great. Holds air and is huge! Can’t wait to try it on vacation. Would absolutely order from Discounter’s Pool and Spa again.
