Absolutely so happy and thankful for Erin at PawsUnleashedAB! She has helped us understand our dogs behaviours and to have patience in training her (and ourselves) it takes a lot of work and consistency to train a dog and Erin gives a lot of guidance and taught us how to use training tools properly with her along the way. We live in the SE of Calgary and the 2 hour drive is worth it for us! I could go on and on how she has helped us. We paid for one on one classes which wasnt a “set amount” of classes and the price is worth it, (which now looking back for what we got/ get is not even a lot!) now we get lifetime group classes. Thanks so much for everything PawsUnleashedAB!!!

I’m always nervous to leave my fur babies anywhere, but the girls at paws unleashed put me at ease and took amazing care of our babies. They sent us updates and pictures to ensure us they were doing good and happy. They will for sure our new dog sitters when we need.

I signed up for a shadow program through Paws Unleashed Ab in fall of 2019 and I’m forever grateful for the experience! I’ve been a certified trainer since 2013, however I’m always looking for more ways to get hands on experience. Erin’s program has a ton of hands on work to help get yourself emerged into the world of dog training! I stayed on the property for 2 weeks with my personal dog in a super cozy RV and worked from 9-5 every day with all the dogs Erin had in for either board and train, daycare and even her private lessons; I also got to work with her personal dogs. There is no shortage of hands on here. I learned different methods of training, along with how to use certain training tools like the e-collar. In the evenings we had downtime’s and reflected on the day. Erin also helped me with the planning of my own business. I could go on and on about how fantastic Erin’s shadow program is! I highly recommend it for either dog owners or dog trainers. For the dog owner that either has an awesome dog or a challenging dog, you will find fulfillment and ultimate acceptance into the Paws family. Trainers that are new to the training world, or trainers that have been a part of it for a while, I’m sure you will learn something from Erin and her unique play style of training. I’m happy to have both Erin and her partner Tara as a part of my family. Thank you Erin for everything you do ❤️

Had a wonderful experience. Our dog is NOT for everyone and takes a lot of management just to safely be around people and dogs, but he was able to come and have a blast!Erin was knowledgeable and very good at directing us to use equipment we've never used before, all while keeping at a distance that was comfortable and safe for an aggressive dog.We know dogs (we're dog trainers too) and found Erin's approach to fulfilling a dogs biological needs through play and activity refreshing and insightful...and of course our boy loved it too!

These guys are absolutely phenomenal. They worked wonders with our dog, provided a ton of training material, and continued to provide help when some of his unwanted behaviour started resurfacing. We did the board and train program and I would highly highly recommend it to anyone. Erin and Vanessa are very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and friendly. If you're in southern Alberta and are looking for a trainer, especially for a dog with some issues, look no further.

Paws Unleashed review 5 star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Our dog had been involved in a fear bite incident and we knew we needed help. We had restrictions put on our dog by local bylaw and required an evaluation on our dog by a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT). Conditions were placed on our dog until we could go through the legal due process, which was rescheduled over several months due to COVID-19 and other court delays.We met Erin through a recommendation from a well-known trainer in Eastern Canada that has had experience with dogs who have struggled with social interactions and socializing with other animals.We explained the circumstances to Erin of our situation over the phone, she suggested and agreed to do a free of charge 1 hr. evaluation session, and we met the next day at her facility in Condor Alberta .The next day we met with Erin and our dog, within 5 mins of interaction. She immediately showed us our dog had built up anxiety and how she could address it with the correct structure, guidance, and training for all of us. She assured us we would have a great balanced dog, if we were committed to follow her training and guidance. She suggested private lessons, which included unlimited group classes when we would be ready. The group classes are used as relationship building between handler & dog to help address any maintenance that might be required should a given team have difficulty with the tasks and assignments.A week later we started our first private class of six, every week for six weeks. Each session included new challenges and at-home exercises/homework that the whole family was required to participate with. Erin introduced us to her group classes after six weeks as she felt we had made significant progress with our diligence in following her lead.Erin’s training seems effortless and is not a one size fit all or blanket approach like I have witnessed in nearly every other trainer and class. Erin understands each human and canine are different and have different needs, that all households function differently and that everyone deserves a chance to learn. She is constantly evaluating the emotional states of both dog and handler to apply her skills and training, so to redirect the energy between them to create balance and trust that is required for success!I have had dogs all my life, I have been involved in dog sports, I have titled one of my dogs, attended several obedience & puppy classes from all across this region. I have worked with many trainers but when I needed help the most many of those trainers couldn’t or wouldn’t help me! Her group classes are like no others I have attended as Erin doesn’t fear animals or seek to try and control them or change their personalities. She’s truly a behavioral coach like no other.Erin and her team have a great set up. They plan each group class to be fun for all, yet they keep the challenges and activities balanced for all to benefit. Erin and her team give one-on-one direction as required, as all are involved in getting to know you and your dog. Paws Unleashed has something special to share and you really feel like you’re part of a community!We believe that Paws Unleashed saved our dog and our family by mentoring us to a better relationship with not only our dog involved in the incident but also our older one. Looking forward to our working relationship hereThe trainers at Paws Unleashed gave me the confidence and knowledge to better handle my fear reactive dutch shepherd. I found them after a bite incident and was terrified that my boy would be unmanageable and a danger to keep in our family.Throughout out our one on one training session I was taught the skills I needed to become the handler I never thought possible, and while my boys reactivity is not yet 100% resolved, we have made enormous leaps and bounds in the right direction and are able to help our guy live his best life.Being able to participate in lifetime group classes monthly (when we can, we have to travel pretty far) allows us to introduce new scenarios safely, surrounded by other people who get the situation we are in, empathize with our frustrations, and celebrate all of our wins.100% recommend this facility for behavioral issues as well as introduction to dog sports.

We brought our one year old German shepherd to Erin for the board and train program. Hank had some fear aggression mostly towards people but some dogs too. Any time we would be walking he would lunge and bark at anyone he thought was threatening. I would come home after a walk crying and stressed I didn't know what to do with him. It was to the point where I was feeling so discouraged I didn't want to walk him or take him anywhere afraid he would bite someone (he never did).Hank spent a month in the board and train program he is now a completely different dog. I feel totally confident with him now. I can now enjoy walking him anywhere. We can walk by people off leash and he won't lunge or bark at them. We can have company over and I'm not afraid he'll bite someone. His recall is so great now I feel safe comfortable taking my dog with me wherever I can.During Hanks stay we got plenty of picture/video updates. We were so happy to hear and see that he had lots of other dogs to socialize with. So even though it was hard having him gone for so long we knew he was having fun and he was getting the training that we couldn't provide him with.So so so happy with the outcome of our dog's training! We brought our golden retriever Indy to Paws unleashed for a board and train for two weeks. Indy was a little over a year old and not neutered yet, so he had some energy we were struggling to direct properly. Two of our neighbours had their dogs trained by Paws Unleashed and we seen a massive improvement in their dogs, so we gave it a go! Easily the best money we ever spent on our dog and we highly recommend them to all of our friends struggling with their dogs training. We thought we could do it on our own reading books and watching the dog whisperer, and taking Indy to puppy classes like everyone else, and learned just how frustrating that can be. We needed help with Indy, and we got it at Paws Unleashed.We got daily updates on Indy even though they didn’t have to, which we really liked and appreciated because we missed him. Indy and the neighbours dogs get really excited to see the trainers, so we all know on our block that Erin and Meghan are good people who build a positive relationship with the dogs in their care.Indy walks so much better now, he listens to us and has recall even at the dog park now. We can bring him to any store or public area that allows dogs now and we frequently get compliments on his good behaviour. Indy can go to more places and do more with us now than he ever could before, which is where the real value in the training was for us. Full disclosure- you have to do the training homework after your dog comes home to get those results. Paws Unleashed gave us the tools we needed to have the relationship we always wanted with Indy, thanks again!
