My Sewing Room

I love that there is a store in calgary that sells sewing supplies. Sadly, it is this store. Normally I don't write reviews but, unless you are an expert on sewing, you will be asked to leave or just ignored by the staff and i needed to say it. Also, I don't know who Anne is but I don't think employees should be talking abiut her in such manner in front of customers. It's a really bad look.

The store was very nice, but when I asked for assistance the employee seemed annoyed and told me I should look it up on youtube and come back." I had been meaning to get out to the store for a couple months

Beautiful store with a nice selection. Rulers and different shape templates are cheaper here than at fabricland & the staff are delightful.

I came in for the repair department with a broken machine. The gentleman who was repairing machines was super friendly and incredibly helpful. Even though, I wasn't looking for anything else that day, I wandered through the store as it was my first time there. There was tons of staff there to help if needed. They asked if I needed assistance and were happy to just let me browse. They had a great selection of everything you could need from machines to fabric to notions. I will definitely go back.

I just wanted to take a moment to write about my wonderful experience with My Sewing Room. I called mid-week and spoke with Betty on the phone about creating a fat quarter pack of some lovely new fabric for my Mom's upcoming birthday. She was very helpful with making sure I got exactly what I wanted. I was SO surprised and happy when I went in to pick up the fabric to see that is was packaged beautifully - A LOT prettier than I would have been able to do. It was clear there was a lot of time and effort put into it and I found that very sweet and thoughtful. The fabric is gorgeous and my mom LOVED it. Thank you so much! :)

I wish I could give 10 stars. They are AMAZING people, so kind and easy to work with. They showed me how to set up the machine, made sure I was able to run it on my own, and showed me all the features. They even checked off the entire list to make sure every piece was there. Incredible service, outstanding people. I can't recommend them enough.

All the staff went above and beyond to answer my questions and make my experience a great one. The service department took the time to show me the different issues my old machine had and how to prevent these issues from occurring again.When I decided to purchase a new machine the sales lady helped me decide what type of machine best suited my needs. She then gave me a thorough tutorial on its use and functions. They were all very patient with me (a beginner) and I really appreciate the time they all took to make sure my questions were answered and I was feeling confident and happy.I will definitely be back! Thank you!

Beautiful store with that perfect sewing supplies and fabric store atmosphere! I audibally gasped when I entered the store for the first time, I was not expecting the size or nostalgic feel, and could easily spend hours just looking at fabrics and sewing machines or the gorgeous quilted pieces on the wall. The staff is amazingly helpful and answered all my questions, and I can't wait to bust out my sewing machine again!The selection is incredible and I don't know that there's a fabric that they don't carry haha, even my boyfriend found many fabrics he liked and now I have more ideas for presents come holidays or birthdays!AND they have Norbert that adorable gnome on fabrics and as some kit designs!I know I didn't get to see every fabric or item that they have and I can't wait to go back!!

Store employees let you browse. If you need help, go to the front counter where you find friendly customer service from Sandy. Well kept store. Nice selection of fabrics and notions. Really like their sale days.
