Poke Community Acupuncture

Poke is a great space! Having access to acupuncture that is affordable through its siding scale, community concept has been great especially while paying for fertility treatments. Parvin specifically provided such wonderful care. Would highly recommend seeing her if you are trying to conceive!

I can't speak more highly about my experience at Poke. I'm so thankful they are a community clinic that works on a sliding scale, as it has allowed me to have the benefits of treatments that I wouldn't have otherwise been able to pursue. Big thanks to Alanna and the Poke team.

I have been going here for maybe 2.5 years? I go at least once a week, it's so affordable and accessible for quality care and treatment. All the therapists are great, I've particularly loved working with Darcy and Jill in the past. I like that they take the time to check in and support the healing needs for the day. Beautiful minimalist space with nice ambience- salt lamps, artwork, soothing music. I never feel rushed ! Many thanks to everyone who had kept Poke going and created the culture of what it is.

Great resource - there are 7 - 8 comfy recliners where you can lay back, get your treatment and nap as long as you want. Very peaceful and supportive atmosphere, and a cost that can't be beat! Although sound is kept to a minimum (they will answer your call in a whisper) you may want to use earplugs if you are highly sensitive to noise and really hope to sleep for a while. Later addition: in common with other community acupuncture places, they will not directly treat the area of your body that hurts. That is called “working locally“, and if that is what you want you have to interview an acupuncturist who has a private practice, and ask” do you work locally on my painful X?”

Poke was the original community acupuncture! Love that they helped find a way for so many people to be able to get treatments more often in a quiet space healing alongside others. I’ve found the staff great, especially Darcy. I bring earplugs and find that helps with any distractions of being in there at a busy time. Go! You won’t regret it.

It is wonderful that a place like this exists with a sliding scale to offer affordable wellness to our community. I've gone a handful of times and felt much better each time I left. My introduction to acupuncture has been positive so far and encourage everyone to give it a try to assist with alternative care for any conditions that are difficult to manage - stress, pms, pain, sleep issues, etc. And all the acupuncturists have been kind and lovely.

My partner and I have been going to Poke for 7 years or so. We love the community model. The cost is accessible, the space is calming and beautiful, and the acupuncturists have all been very good. I get so much relief and healing from this place, I'm grateful this exists here!

Poke community acupuncture is one of those amazing gems of a place you only come across once in awhile, and I encourage you not to miss out on it.Beautiful, clean, homey space. I immediately feel at ease when I enter it. Amazing, skilled acupuncurists that truly care about what they do, and who truly care about you.This is a sliding scale payment system, min. $20, max. $40. Pay what you can, get poked, and stay as long as your heart desires (within reason, of course). What these guys and gals are doing is truly an amazing, inspiring, and beautiful thing. I go to Poke to treat recurring neck and back pain from a car accident and after 2 visits my pain is gone for at least a few months.I can't suggest highly enough that you give getting poked a try.

A calm and beautiful space. To be honest I was a bit anxious at the thought of being poked, but Pavan had such a beautiful and peaceful approach. After one session I feel much calmer and relaxed. Wonderful experience and highly recommended. Can't wait to share more details about it on Glamanda.com
