The best authentic Indian food hands down in Kensington-Summerland PEI! Delicious food including Canadian favorites like seafood pasta and many, many more. Super friendly & personable. Owners.

Hello Kitchen is a welcome addition to the PEI dining scene. We ate there twice since discovering this gem in September, 2022 and came away more than satisfied both times.Kensington may seem an unlikely place for great Indian food but Hello Kitchen is as good as any South Asian restaurant I have visited in the Greater Toronto Area. Their dishes, from garlic naan to basmati rice to pakora to samosas to various curries and the old standby, butter chicken, are flavourful and decently priced. The garlic naan arrived hot and with a nice crunch. Ditto the pakora and samosas. We also sampled the chicken curry, lamb curry and chicken kadai along with the butter chicken. All were bursting with flavour. The rice was flaky and cooked perfectly.A couple of words of advice: I saw some complaints that sides like rice were not included with the entrees. True enough, but the prices are such that even with the cost of basmati rice added, the meal is still priced right. Also, the family that runs the place keeps Island and tourist tastes in mind when it comes to spicing the food. So if you like some heat, make sure you tell your server you want it spicy.Given the loss of many favourite restaurants on PEI thanks to COVID, it is heartening to see Hello Kitchen arrive. We will be back every trip.BTW, on Thursday nights they close a bit early and have a good old-fashioned PEI dance. Since they are in the old Legion there's plenty of room to bring back memories for Islanders of a certain age.

Wonderful vegetarian favorites here! Tasty Pakoras and Samosas to start, very consistent with expectations. Interesting takes on classics, Kabuli Channa, Matar Paneer, Dal Makhni, and a new one to us, Kedai Vegetables. Little variation in mild seasoning level despite request for two at mild and two at hot. We had our own to add, no worries. As Trina noted, Naan was not the best, and Garlic Naan was indistinguishable from plain. Despite these small disappointments, we'll be back, often! What we liked, we liked very much!

I keep coming back again and again. Great food. I'm not typically into biryani, but their chicken biryani is a must try, and their palak paneer is my favourite. So glad to have this option nearby.

Went tonight near closing. They were very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. Didn't take long to prepare. Will definitely be back and let our friends in the area know about this little gem!

Very expensive, and don't even get me started about the Naan. It was the tiniest serving, store bought and chewy. Worst I've ever tried. Honestly the cup of room temperature water was the best part of the meal. Also none of the meals come with sides!! To me that's the equivalency of passing me just a pork chop on a plate if I was eating at another restaurant. It just wouldn't happen. I will say my kids liked it, but they don't have anything to compare it to as if was their first time trying indian food. The restaurant itself smells very musty. Service was mediocre at best. Hope this saves someone else a major disappointment.

We were happy to try this newer restaurant during our last visit to the island. We appreciated having something different to eat (having had eaten quite a bit of “classic” island food during our visit) and the food was very good. Do ask for spicy if you like some kick in your dishes!

We visited together with the family and it was really awesome being there. Food we were served was so delicious and different taste wise and the best part of this was they offer many options for veg and non vegetarian. Kids like it too ..

Hello Kitchen
We ordered to go. The naan is not the best but let me tell you, this was the best butter chicken we have ever had! We will order the butter chicken again, since wr eat at home, we can get naan at the grocery store but you can't get butter chicken like this anywhere else. The sauce was unreal and the texter of the chicken was cooked to a perfection.
