Douvris Martial Arts, Karate, Kickboxing - Kanata

Our 7 year old daughter has been attending Browns Martial Arts for about four months now. I can see its made a HUGE difference in her confidence already. She has already put the skills to work at school and has been able to stand up to overly aggressive behaviour director towards her and her friends.Initially I thought the lessons would simply be instructional - To my surprise the Gracie programs integrates teaching around self discipline, being a good citizen, and many other important lessons about conduct and being a great person in your community in general.Coach James is AMAZING! On more than one occasion James has taken a few extra minutes after class to talk to Ashley about really bullying that she's experienced at school. James is very patient and uses that to communicate to his students so they actually understand the lesson. I highly recommend the Browns Martial Arts for your kids! Thanks James!

We love going to the Brown's Martial Arts. Sensei Saul and Sensei Selina enjoy teaching their students. They find individual approach to every kid and adult.They teach not only Karate but respect, focus and patience. Every so often they have self defense class that I find really useful. Since we started attending the class I see that my son boosted his confidence, improved behavior and focus!We would recommend the club to everyone!

Browns' focus on family classes is what I like most about this dojo. It is so incredibly rewarding to be able to progress through the belts side-by-side with my seven year old. Sensei Geoff and Sensei Saul strike a perfect balance between teaching the physical aspects of martial arts and teaching about self-discipline, confidence, respect and positive attitude. Terrific instruction, terrific family focused attitude and terrific facility!

On my first day of Jujitsu, James the instructor went out of his way to ensure that I was comfortable and understood the instructing. He also did all the ground exercises with me to help me better grasp them.He was also extremely helpful in the signing up process and answered every question I had.Great guy and I plan on coming back for more classes!

OUTSTANDING. Our Son's birthday party was incredible - can not say enough good things. It was engaging, entertaining, well-run and action packed. The games for the kids were perfect for their age and well thought out - a good mix of karate and play. The facilitator Saul made it a wonderful experience for all of us, we literally didn't have to do a thing. The demonstration at the end was particularly exciting. Highlight was cutting the cake with the sword. All the other parents kept commenting on what a great party it was. Money well spent and we will recommend to everyone. Thank you again.

My daughter has been attending class with coach James since April 2019. She absolutely loves going 2-3 times a week and we continue through the summer which we don’t do with any other extra activity.Coach James works with her in class and after class. Before joining she was experiencing issues with massive bullying and self confidence was low. Everything has turned around and she loves going to school no and is much more confident.Would definitely recommendOne of my daughter favourite parts of Gracie Game night.My favourite thing is that when she stands up for herself she is excited to tell Coach and when she has a problem she confides and trusts coach James and he for sure is always there for her.Any Strike day they have a camp at Browns she asks me to go, she'll be attending March Break camp here and it is by far her #1 spot for summer camp as well!

Great place! Love the atmosphere, very energetic. My oldest first went to a March Break camp, summer camp then we enrolled her in Little Dragons. My youngest is now 4 years old and we got to do our first Parent's Night Out. Awesome! Birthday parties are also affordable and so much fun.

An amazing family run business with a great supporting staff.I have trained with the Brown's before and my children have as well.My daughter with down syndrome can't say enough about her weekly trips to Tiny Dragons(Little Dragons).

It is great place to learn the true of Karate. Sensei Saul is very clear when he explains everything. I and my 2 kids love it when we go and learn. The staff is very friendly and it is very clean place. I would recommend anyone who is looking to learn Karate.

We love Browns Martial Arts! Our two boys started the Gracie Jujitsu program in January, and they've learned not only martial arts, but discipline and responsibility. We're seeing a noticeable improvement in their behaviour at home and at school. I highly recommend this program. The staff are amazing.
