I randomly stopped in today and was amazed. Very traditional bakery with staff that were patient, friendly, and engaging. So happy I found this place and I will be back again. If you’re looking to support a great local business with traditional baked goods, this is the place to be. Well done and thank you for an excellent visit today!

Everything from here is delicious! I've been a few times whenever I'm downtown and have cash with me!I'm no authority on European authenticity of baked goods, but I don't think that matters with how tasty and fresh the food always is. I've heard from other people this place is legit if that matters to you.I'm personally a fan of the croissants, and had the pleasure of having their red pepper and potato soup today (perfect for the cold weather!)Support local, indulge on some incredible pastries and breads without any regret!

Our go to spot every weekend. The smell that even comes out of the store on a Saturday morning is intoxicating!! Very delicious and great customer service

This is one of the best bakeries in town. I like the danish and croissants. It gives me a taste of France. On the weekend it usually has a line-up. So go early if you like to get the fresh goodies. A couple things to note are that they close pm Sundays and cash only.

So, I'm hesitant to make this review because it might attract even more people and make the line up longer lol, but I am going to make this review because I'm leaving the city in 2 weeks. Eric the Baker is an absolutely amazing piece of france in the middle of guelph. It's a small bakery that has lots of different delicious things, especially the sausage rolls, but they also have lots of delicious options for vegetarians. Make sure you bring spare cash though since they don't take credit or debit. Anyways, easy 10/10 place.

I returned! I bought their brownies. Wow! Must try! They will knock your socks off!My favourite foods here: brownie, cinnamon danish, chocolate chip danish, sausage roll, and croissant.Tip: Eat Eric's danishes immediately. I picked up his chocolate Danish around 10 am and instantly ate part of it, and it was better fresh and slightly warm compared to when I ate the other half 30 minutes later. It was still good later though.See my pics and read my captions for more details.Older Review:This baker really knows his pastries! I was stunned at the quality and for such a reasonable price! All of my items (4) came to $15. They are a cash only place. This business is closed Sunday through Tuesday.I am definitely coming back! Wow, what perfect pastry! You will feel and taste the difference in quality here! I would definitely have the sausage rolls and croissants again! Thank you to the customer that highly recommended them to me!

Clearly a very skilled Baker. Quality of the baked goods is apparent. Every bite is an experience. Danishes, croissants, oh joy! Prices are reasonable. Wait time could be a bit long but worth every second. Take a picture of the schedule so you know when to show up for your favourite items. Been here twice so far and everything was delicious. Will definitely be back. If a 6th star was available this place would get it for sure. Update: ordered a cake for a birthday. Quite frankly the best mousse cake I've ever tasted. It was a hit. Such a hit that pics didn't happen until it was almost too late.

What can I say? The devil of temptation works here. Come at the end of the day and they offer you a great deal. Everything is heavenly. The passionfruit tart (top right) is insanely delicious and one of the best desserts I've ever had. The croissants are flaky and perfect. I read below how generous staff are because they know you'll come back. The devil knows too. Everyone comes back for french food made by Eric's heavenly hands. It's that good. Come taste your slice of heaven and tell the devil to go away for another day.
