Chung Chun Rice Hot Dog

Super tasty corn dog! One corn dog was very filling and enough for a full meal. The menu was very clear and I thought the prices were fair. The sauces are customizable and they have plenty of options.

It was my first time trying Chung Chun Hot Dog and I really enjoyed it. I came here for a quick snack, and ordered the Original Chung Chun hot dog which features a beef sausage. I waited about 7 minutes for my order as there were a couple people ahead of me.You can pick unlimited sauces once you get your order. I opted for ketchup, honey mustard, and spicy mayo. You can also choose powder flavours to sprinkle on top, such as cheese. I thoroughly enjoyed my hot dog - it was perfectly fried and crispy, and the sausage was juicy and meaty. It did not taste over fried at all. It was about $6 for the one hot dog, but for a novelty item I didn’t mind.

I like it they open till 11:00 so it is perfect when I have late night craving. It’s also not as busy as other locations. The potato crusted one was good but a bit heavy. Should stick to the regular if before bed time.

We had fun trying this place out! We got three normal wiener fillings (I wish we’d switched that part up but we are newbies). Our favourite combination was the “chicken nugget” shell with garlic butter powder. Second favourite was the potato shell (thought it’d be crispier fromhow it looks in pictures tbh) with sugar and ketchup. Third was the ramen shell — it was crispy and has lots of potential, but we got it with just sweet chilli sauce and they didn’t really go together. Next time I go I want to try the mozzarella filling and get a nice cheese pull :) It is just a corn dog so nothing truly fantastic, but a fun place to try with lots of customization options and lots of food per dog.

A yummy snack! I would have a hard time eating this as a meal but it’s pretty good as a snack to get and share with friends.I love the variety and being able to really customize your “dog” in so many ways. Lots of sauce choices too. If you don’t like that, there are lots of suggestions so that’s good too.The sweet potato cubes were not as a good as the regular potato ones but still very hearty.It didn’t fill me as a meal as one, I think I would have to eat 2-3, but I wouldn’t eat that many. It’s a little tough haha.Service was good and wait time was alright.The only thing was that I went with someone who could not eat beef and there was limited selection of dogs without beef, so more meat options would be great because not everyone wants to eat a bunch of cheese all the time!

Chungchun Rice Hotdog specializes in Korean-style hotdogs. We got the Mozzarella Cheese Hotdog, and the Whole Mozzarella Cheese, and added extra potato toppings for $1.50. I loved the ooey gooey, stretchy mozzarella cheese. It's amazingly delicious with the spicy mayo sauce. Choose other different sauces that will fit into your playful palate. The food quality is worth the price. You should try it.Unfortunately, there is no sitting area. It's a ‘Takeout’ food place. They accept credit and debit cards. Parking is not a problem.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now, absolutely not disappointed! The menu was definitely a bit much to navigate and understand, however I have a feeling that you are unlikely to be disappointed by any choice you make.They have vegetarian options for anyone wondering, as well as a chocolate one for dessert.I ordered the rice cake hot dog and it was deliciously crunchy and topped with their recommended sweet and spicy mayo combination. I’d love to go back and try the other ones!

I was craving this and decided to stop in! Note, it's standing room only and no place to sit, so I got mine and walked out and around the center.I got the sweet potato dog which was $7.50, with mayo, sweet chili, and a bit of honey mustard. I waited about 10-15 minutes for my order because they were busy but it came out hot and delicious! I was a bit disappointed because the outside was a bit overcooked and hard to bite into, but the hot dog itself was delicious! I wasn't sure what sauces to get, but I just went for it and it turned out well. I definitely would go back to try the other flavors and offerings!A great quick snack, delicious options, and friendly staff!I would recommend this if you're wanting to try!

Pricey, but definitely worth trying! I’ve always wanted to try this popular street food and I’m happy to know that this store exists here in Richmond. The original breading is really good and crispy. There are many options to try but so far my favourite is the half mozzarella half sausage. A must try!

The hot dogs is fresh and very crispy. Their menu and sauces have good variety and selection.
