Heartbreakers Pizza

It is amazing. We order two small pizzas, a salad, and chicken wings. You can see there are so many cheeses on the salad, perfect for cheese lovers! And the chicken wings, oh God! It is exceptional too!

Great food! Would recommend the chicken wings and Hot Shot P. 2 drizzled with honey on top. Nice wine as well. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Small and quaint atmosphere.

New York style carrying a nasty flop. Not much of a crisp until the crust, which happen to be too crunchy and insipid to be enjoyed alone, resulting in a mandatory side dip. I have yet to find a topping combination that has flavour dimension.The kale salad is delicious.

I’ve heard glowing things about Heartbreakers from many people here in Ottawa, so I really wanted to love this little pizza joint! The positives are that this tiny spot had a fun, homey atmosphere and the staff were very warm and outgoing, so the experience itself was great — it’s the food that just didn’t live up to the legend for me. We ordered the Sweetheart Pizza and the Gourdie Pizza, as well as the Celebration Cake. I have to say the flavour of the pizzas was phenomenal, but they were some of the oiliest, greasiest, floppiest monsters I’ve ever had to wrestle with, to the point where it was kind of overpowering. The sweetheart also immediately started falling apart with the toppings coming away from the crust once you bit into it, though the Gourdie stayed together perfectly. As for the Celebration Cake, unfortunately the best thing I can say is that it was just okay. The cream cheese in the icing didn’t come out very much in the flavour profile, possibly because the overall taste of the cake was overly and cloyingly sweet. The crumb of the cake was also on the dry side. We ended up opting not to finish it. (I ordered this cake based off of the recommendations of other reviewers, and after looking at some of those other photos, there seems to be a noticeable amount of variation in the frosting and the freshness of the cake so I wonder if we just got unlucky?) Overall, while I’m glad I gave Heartbreakers a try, and I had a nice time, I don’t think I’ll be back again.

Such a great place!! Came here with two friends on a weekend night and made reservations to be on the safe side, I would recommend doing that, they don’t have many tables. Service was great, everyone was super nice and the food came pretty quickly too. The sizes of the pizzas are big but they have a thin crust. We got the Brocc city and lovely cheese and both of them were amazing. Shared a piece of celebration cake too which was just the perfect desert!! Would recommend and it’s definitely my new favourite pizza place in Ottawa.

We don’t usually order the chicken wings but decided to this time. Surprisingly the chicken wings were really good! The pizza is always delicious and consistent and one of the best in the city.A tad expensive but always worth the price!

All pizzas had nice thin crispy texture and great unique flavours. We ordered Lovely Cheese, The Sweetheart, and Fennel & Sausage. They were all pretty good, but I enjoyed the Sweetheart the most! :)
